i beleive your problem is a worn Snubber ring it about $4.30
you should be able to get it at any appliance parts dealer

it sounds like the unit is not sitting on level ground sometimes there are feet that can be adjusted to raise and lower the unit on the front left and right side go to a department store and by a level for a couple of dollars and put it on the top exterior of the unit and check it left to right and front to back
