You may need a new heating element if it is an electric dryer or there may be a faulty switch. if you are not familiar with fixing electrical problems get a qualified repair person. Very high voltages are usually involved here.

Bosch condensation dryer when on heated dry clothes come out steaming hot not dry

Sounds like something's blocking the hot damp air being removed from the drier. If you are confident enough, go through the drier vent system looking for a blockage. If not get a good DIY neighbour or appliance engineer. Silly question, is the drum turning?

Dryer heats and tumbles but doesn't remove lint or dry clothes in one cycle

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.

My dryer is not getting hot. The clothes tumble, but do not get dry because the dryer is not getting hot. Could it be the thermostat or something else?

First, check the venting to make sure it isn't stopped up with lint. This is the most typical case. Also, which you probably already have done, make sure the lint screen is clean. You may have to disconnect the flexible hose on the back of the dryer to clean your vent.

MDG850 Gas Dryer: will not get hot

Hi there,

Well if your dryer tumbles, but there is no heat then you may please check out the following -
1. First of all you can check out for proper air flow - Check the vent for proper air flow by placing your hand over the exterior vent while the dryer is running. You should feel a strong flow of air. If not then check the lint trap. It is located either on top of the dryer or possibly just inside the door. Remove any lint that has built up in the lint trap. Cleaning the lint trap should be done regularly, even as often as after every load. Do not operate the dryer without a lint trap in place.
2. Secondly you can check out the Ignitor - gas dryer blows air through a burner assembly to heat the air. The burner assembly consists essentially of a gas valve, ignitor and a flame sensor. If any part of the burner assembly malfunctions, the result will be low or no heat and slow drying of the clothes.

Dried a load fine, next load tumbles wont dry. still cant get heat

Hi,

Make sure front of dryer is not blocked, air flow is needed to dry.Check that the lint filter and exhaust duct is clean.

Check the blown fuses and home’s circuit breaker tripped. Dryer use 2 household Fuses or a circuit breakers, If one is blown, the dryer may still operate but not heat. Alternatively, the dryer may heat, but it may not heat up as hot as it should. Replace the Fuses or reset the circuit breaker.

Another common cause of a dryer failing to heat is a faulty Heating Element. You will need to replace it.

Good Luck and have a nice day.
Rating the solution is highly appreciated.

Dryer tumbles but no heat

I believe this unit has a hot-surface ignitor, and they work great, but do go bad eventually. The easy way to tell is to visibly see if the ignitor is operating during startup... can you get to it?
The hot-surface ignitor is easy to replace- (be careful not to touch it with fingers - like with halogen bulbs)

Is not getting hot.have cleaned the lint basket and pulled the basket holder and cleaned behind it. still not getting hot. could it be the heating element?

Deffinitely the next thing I would test. If it is tumbling and the timer is working, save having a wiring issue, which is highly unlikely, it probably does need a heating element.

My dryer heats, tumbles, but takes several cycles to dry a load(small). Not much air coming out of vent and have cleaned vent out.Any ideas?

The fan that pulls the hot air through the dryer and pushes the exhaust out through the vent hose is plugged with lint. You will want to remove the cover on the fan and manually clean the fan out. I had the same problem with my dryer, I was astounded by the amount of lint that was trapped in the fan.
Also look inside the cloths drum on the back wall and make certain the hole in that wall are not clogged with lint also. Use a flash light and make sure the hole are perfectly clean.
Good luck, clean it all out and let me know.
Regards,
