I hope you matched your CB radio in with the antenna. Most CB radios are good for about 5 miles without having a linear. Extra Power Source }

How to get some bass out of it

Generally, that is due to a cheap mic element. The only way to really fix it is to replace the element or the entire mic with one with a wider frequency response range. There are lots or replacement mics available.

The speaker sounds tinny and has lack of volume

Sounds like the speaker got wet. If there is an earphone socket, does that sound OK ? If so, the speaker is your problem and must be changed out.

2002 trailblazer. Factory radio sounds very tinny. Every once in a while it will sound normal, then reverts back to same tinny sound

may be a ground problem and may be in stereo itself. more than likely just a ground but still just a guess..good luck

If I stretch a rubber band around the volume knob on cb, keeping pressure on it, it will stay on.

Sounds like the switch is worn out. Time to visit the CB Radio Shop and have them replace the on/off/volume pot.

I have just bought a new Cobra CB DX IV (i think) and truckers say i sound like garbage. I have tuned the antenna.

truckers also like it to have 300+ watts,, and don't tell them what you have and see the difference. lol

also the stock mic's are tinny sounding. trade it off for a good power mic like a cobra 75 $17.99 or any type of echo mic $35 i think.. those will make it sound like a big radio.., also check the SWR's !!!!! free at any cb shop to have them checked .. we don't charge unless it needs parts.

No cb channels no audio no recive

If you have no channel display or CB operation, it sounds like a blown voltage regulator that supplies power to the CB PLL circuit.
