you should not have to send your clipper to be repaired before it is used, the maker of the product should be willing to walk you through the adjustment step by step, because the problem is the blade adjustment, why send a clipper back just to get a blade adjustment, which will take 30 days to return, and you will be out of a clipper, you will lose money in the process, it's simple call and ask how to (precisely) adjust blade, and if that dosent work for whatever reason, return the product and buy from another company, some companies have a way of making more money from you, unnessasarily, in this economy thats a sure way to loose business.

SOURCE: adjust blade
On the Andis T-Outliner or Outliner if you have use the trimmer for more than 3 hair cuts or 3 time or more I do not recommend moving the blade, reason why is that you have all ready start or have a sit in or a grooved, I have found that by moving the blade it won't cut at all.You need to resharpen the blade with a professional sharpener and have them reset the blade for the type of hair cut you want. The blade can be set to shave or do line ups, and Fades. This type of trimmer is for that kind of hair cut the professional barber use them all the time. Call Mannys Sharpening 323 263-4697 They have a good rating on Yahoo Local.
I have try many sharpener and had no luck, until a friend of mind told me about Mannys Sharpening, They know what they are talking about highly Professional in thier work.

sound like your clipper blades may require sharpening, just remove the blades and send them to a professional company specialising in scissor and clipper sharpening.
