Question about Frigidaire Dryers

Open Question

I have a Friguidaire Dryer Model AEQ6000ES2. This Dryer runs only at the low heat control area (Delicate). Sometimes the Dryer, Cool Down, and Extended Tumble lights all flash. Replaced the High Limit

The lights would flash and there is no Error message. Can clear the lights with Select/Clear buttons.

SOURCE: Not Heating

there could be a problem with one of the thermal fuses located in the cabinet under the drum and along the side of the heating element can. the first one to check is the one furthest back on the can.
you can check them all for continuity and replace the one that is bad also check the heating element last.

SOURCE: dryer heats and then sometimes

themobilian_1468.jpg
The cycling thermostat there on the blower housing have you replaced it?
And you know you have 240 going into the machine? The motor runs on 120 but the heater needs 240 to work. A weak breaker can cause some heating failure:
themobilian_1469.jpg
If the heater is fine and the components are good you might want to take a look at the timer. This one is fairly easy to fix.

SOURCE: I have a Kenmore series

Blown high limit fusees can be caused by.

  1. Not enough airflow caused by blockage in the exhaust vent pipe.(most common) Check for strong airflow coming out of the back of machine, then check for good airflow at exterior vent. Clean vent if airflow is restricted.
  2. Bad drum seal
  3. Dirty lint screen
  4. Broken blower wheel
  5. Blockage inside the machine.

How to fix Maytag dryer MED9600SQ0

Check the thermal cut off, the cycling and the hi limit thermostats.
For continuity or OHMS. If no ohms or resistance they need replacement.

In some dryer's the control panel relies on a thermistor rather than a CYCLING thermostat to regulate the drum's air temperature by monitoring the component's resistance changes; resistance goes down as temperature increases and up when temperature decreases. Once the drum's air temperature reaches a certain level required to dry clothes, the control panel shuts off the heater. The panel will turn the heater on again and begin another heating cycle when the thermistor indicates that more heat is needed to keep the air temperature constant inside the drum 9 this is why in some cases the dryer will operate at lower cycles like gentle or low heat but not at higher settings?)

Lastly check your moister sensor. ( located inside the dryer door usually) Especially if machine seems to shut down early and clothes are still wet.
Test with a meter at room temperature and it should show continuity.
A failed moisture sensor will affect the dryer run time in the automatic moisture sensing cycle but it will not affect the heating of the dryer or the timed cycle. Which are reflected by the thermostats.

What does area Error code E-05 mean on a Frigidaire front load dryer model # AEQ6000ES2

model aeq6000es2: the "e05" error code normally indicates that control board may need to be replaced or a stuck relay on the control panel. you can reset the unit by unplugging the dryer power cord for 5 minutes and then reapplying the power. if the problem persists then the control board or the control panel may need to be at fault.

Have you checked the Hose and the pipe that exits your wall? Sometimes birds will nest in them. Pull the dryer out and run it without the hose connected to test it.

My Frigidaire Dryer (AEQ6000ES2) won't heat. Did

I am not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year old man who has been making his own repairs for about 50 years. Therefore the dryer ID doesn't mean
anything to me. Over the years, I haven't had much trouble with my dryers. The E56 error code means high motor current. To help you find out why, I suggest you go to www.applianceaid.com where they have very good trouble shooting and repair information on dryers and other appliances. I think you'll find what you need there. You can probably verify the meaning of the error code there. Good luck with it. If I have helped you, please rate my advice on fixya.

Kenmore Electric dryer runs on cool down forever.

Call the mfr and ask them about it. This problem may be pretty complicated. There may be a problem with your board that tells it to go to cool down. Can you set the timer for 45-60 minutes and it stay on heat for that long?
