I had the same problem and was able to get my EPSON Stylus Photo R220 to print a CD using the following procedure. This should work for other Epson Photo printers as well.
1. Open EPSON Print CD
2. When CD is ready for printing do the following:
3. Select Print from the File menu
4. When “The EPSON printer driver dealing with CD printing is not installed” is displayed – click OK and select Manual Print
5. Set Paper Size to A4 and click OK
6. In Layout select Print Settings
7. In Media Type select CD/DVD
8. Then press Print

you firmware is right one for that printer because in most of cases it happens due to wrong firmware and bad ADF kits. so check your ADF kids and if you find them fine the install updated firmware on in.
And put job seperator option always as disabled
once you done with these all then turn your printer off and turn it back on.
post back if any thing changes and rate all answers.

SOURCE: Page size for CD printing
I use Surething to print my labels (I have a Canon IP4300) as it allows you to create your own custom templates. With the Canons the CD trays are different depending on model and I would not be surprised if the Epsons are the same. To create a template (in any software) you need an accurate ruler to get the exact measurements of the tray. Once you have them then it's simply a matter of setting your "page setup" to accommodate those measurements. You will need to specify page size, left, right and top margins. Top and left margins give the printer the start point and right margin gives width of print.
Using a graphics program to print CD labels is clumsy at the best of times and the task is a lot easier if you use a dedicated label print program. PrintCD is okay but Surething is the best! Download the trial version of Surething and then get the Canon templates (my creations) from my website here. Once you load them have a look at the page setup to see how to create your own (for your Epson).
