Probably had a power surge before a utility power outage. after the utility restored power, no display on range

We read on another site that sometimes an electical surge messes something up and that if you unplug the range for a few minutes it will reset. So we unplugged our range and when we plugged it in again it worked fine.

try pushing cook and hold button once until lock comes on, then push cook and hold button again. The lock should be removed.

The issue is with the control board also known as the
electronic control has gone bad and should be replaced. It seems that power
surge might have blown a component on that board causing this issue. Hope this
