Frigidaire PLEB30S8CCA baking element not working

The baking element on my oven is not working. We tried replacing it with new, but still not working. There are no error messages. The broiler is still working. The control panel still lights up, light works, convection fan still works, other buttons still beep when pushed. When put on bake or conv/bake/roast and a temp is selected the oven takes at least an hour to heat up to no more than 300.

Good Morning Jane, thank you for your post!

From what you have described, it sounds like you possibly have problem with a faulty thermal fuse, power supply board, user interface board or a communication error with the EOC (Electronic Oven Control). This is not a typical do it yourself job. Please reach out to an expert technician to ensure the appropriate replacement part(s) is ordered and is installed correctly to prevent future issues.

Best regards!

Thank you for your comments. We ended up having the control board fixed. Because the control board is no longer an item that can be purchased, we sent it to a company named CoreCentric. My husband took pictures of it before he removed it, removed it, we sent it to CoreCentric on a Wednesday, got it back on a Monday, looked at our pictures we had taken of it so as to know exactly how to put it back to gether, and did just that. We turned the power back on to it and it is now working like it always had. To trouble shoot and send off for repairs ourselves cost $150, vs at least twice that to call a repairman and 10x that to replace the unit.

SOURCE: oven not working

It is most likely that the oven heating element has failed, which would be the likely source of the 'bang' you heard, you may also need to check the oven temperature control sensor as this may have gone out at the same time.

SOURCE: My Frigidaire 30" oven ES300 the broiler element

Hi

Error F10 appears due to a faulty oven temperature sensor or faulty wiring on the oven temperature sensor. F10 indicates that the control detects a runaway temperature in the oven. If this error is appearing when the oven is at high temperatures then it is due to a faulty relay on the electronic control board. If this fault code appears when the oven is at room temperature, then the failure points to a failed oven temperature sensor probe circuit or a bad electronic oven control board.

To check this you’ll need to use a multimeter, the resistance of temperature sensor should be around 1100-1200 ohms. If it is above 2000 ohms then the sensor has turned bad. However, if the reading is between the specified range then check the wiring harness connection directly at the electronic oven control board (with the range still unplugged). If the wiring is perfect then you would need to replace the electronic control board.
Hope this helps... If it does please do not forget to accept the solution or post back for assistance.

Daniel

I have the Frigidaire PLEB30S8CCA single wall oven. About 3 months ago the baking element appeared to have gone out. We replaced it, but still didn't work. We ended up sending our control board off to a company named Corecentric. They fixed the problem and returned it to us. The oven has worked perfectly ever since. I searched extensively for a new one, but no one sold them anymore. I found Corecentric on Ebay. They were able to confirm over the phone that it was more than likely a control board issue. It cost about $130. My husband was able to do it himself by taking a couple before px and using them when reassembling it.

Frigidaire oven fefl68 broil element comes on on broil only will not come on on bake or clean

Hello - - If you are referring to the bake element, but the broil element works then you would need to just replace the bake element. If both your bake and broil element does not work, then there might be a problem with the wiring communication. However, if the oven does not bake and/or broil but the cook top works; contact a professional to diagnose the EOC (electronic oven control).
