Noisy front loader pump - Samsung WF337AA Front Load Washer

My machine is not a samsung, I must have picked the wrong one. It is a panasonic na14, The machine still works fine and still drains well, but occasionally during final spin the pump sounds terribly noisy. I have been told there must be something in the pump. Surely if the pump was damaged it would not drain well?

It's a magnetic drain pump it makes sound when all the water is out, you should exchange it. you can leave it until it broke sometimes it lasts for 2 years

So do the pumps only get damaged because something has been sucked into it. I have found nothing in the drain filter. It is only just 3 years old and had a new pump two years ago and new bearings under a year ago. I feel its a lemon but out of warranty now so unfortunately its our problem it looks like.

My front loader Ariston A1636S. Is washing and pumping water out very quiet, but when it comes to spinning has become noisy, and perhaps describe as a grating noise. But no strange smells.

Most common causes of noisy spin are something has found its way between the drum and its casing or the heater has come adrift from its fixing and is rubbing on the drum

How to resolve a noisy bearing

the bearings only become noisy if water has leaked past the main seal and into them in which case if its a top loader you will need to replace both bearings the main seal and shaft, it can be quite costly. if its a front loader you will need the main seal and both bearings and will cost twice as much as the top loader as it takes quite alot longer to do

Smelly water & not going into spin

Try cleaning out the pump access port. It is at the front of the machine.

All sorts of stuff gets into these pumps on front loaders. A partial clog will go what you describe.

If you use a mesh laundry bag it will keep this from happening

Noisy when spining

Could be a few things that cause this however the most common is Drum Bearing if it a Front loader you can turn the drum by hand to indicate this /is it noisy/ grindy?

We heard a large BANG and now it is so noisy

The rear bearing in most front loaders lasts an average of 5 years under normal usage. Spin the drum manually with your hand and seee if it is nice and smooth and quiet. If the bearing is ok it is probable that 1 of the shocks is broken on the bottom.

I have a noisy ariston front loader washing machine and

From the front of the washer, spin the drum by hand, and if it feels rough, or is noisy, or rumbling, then the main drum bearings have failed..
If no noise, then problem is elsewhwere.
Hope this helps.

Affinity front loader dryer. The drum is not

It's noisy If your dryer is noisy, check these: Rollers Idler pulley Glides Rear drum bearing Blower wheel Rollers Many dryers use rollers or wheels to support the clothes drum. When these rollers are worn, they can be noisy. You should replace the whole set of rollers at the same time. Idler pulley Dryers have a tension or idler pulley that keeps tension on the main drive belt. When it's worn, it can be noisy. When that happens, don't lubricate it. Just replace it. Glides Many dryers use nylon or plastic glides at the front of the clothes drum for support. When these are worn, they can be noisy. When that happens, replace them. Rear drum bearing Some dryers support the clothes drum in the rear with a center spindle instead of rollers. The spindle may be a ball-and-socket type support or a shaft through a sleeve. When the components are worn, they may squeak, squeal, or rub. You can't repair them. Just replace them when they're worn. Blower wheel Your dryer's blower wheel pulls air over the heat source, through the clothes drum, and past the thermostats, then pushes it out the exhaust duct. The blower wheel, which is usually plastic, may wear out over time. But if it's noisy, it may simply be clogged with lint. Clean the blower and test to see if the dryer is still noisy. If it is, you probably need to replace it. Hope this helps
