Very general symptoms but probably thrips. Very small elongated insects can be seen inside curled leaves. If fruit is on the tree wait until harvest then spray with appropriate pesticide.

If you look under the leaves that are curling there my be some Greenfly which suck the moisture out of the leaves , you can get a spray from Supermarkets + garden shops.
the leaf curl is from a grub ( very small that is inside the leaf and eating the leaf structure)
as you do not believe in pesticides
it will require a lot of google research as to natural compositions that will kill the pest or talk with organic organizations to get help
.Leaf curl is a plant disease characterized by curling of leaves, and caused by a fungus, genus Taphrina, or virus, especially genus Begomovirus of the family Geminiviridae.
You need to call a pest control company and have the tree sprayed.
1. Some insect pests will cause some leaf curl. In spring, aphids might do this on soft new leaves. Look inside the curl for presence of insects. If none are present, consider 2 below.
2. Overwatering can cause leaves to curl or cup INWARD. Also, stress from very hot weather will do it.
Hot dry weather may also cause a symptom called physiological leaf roll. This is a self- defense response, where leaves and leaflets curl slightly to prevent further water loss. Try adding some extra water and perhaps some weakened fertilizer and it should pull them right out of this problem.
