Brewed coffee overflowed on to warmer plate. Now water does not heat and flow and warmer plate does not heat up.

Unless it is an expensive brewer, get a new one. The brewer needs the bottom plate to heat in order for it to work at all. Should be imune getting wet though, but sounds like bad heating element.

My rinnai 556 will not start, the only light is with the child lock pressed, on/off does not light? any ideas?

HI, Dear your rinnai 556 is not starting thats why it can not genrate the error code ,i advice you in this case you can not identifiy the exact problem. but i m trying to help you with my best tring:-
What you need to do -
Check the model number and serial number which are found on the data label located on the bottom of the right hand panel of the unit. Any Rinnai Energysaver Models RHFE-556T and RHFE-556FTRG Gas Air Warmers with a serial number contain the the year (YY) digits "00" to "07" may be affected. If you cannot read the data label or think you may have an affected model do not use the Air Warmer and inform anyone who may use the Air Warmer that they should not do so. Contact the Rinnai freephone helpline for further instructions, even if you have not experienced any problems

HELPLINE 0800 0304 556 or you can visit or email if you have any further questions.

The helpline staff will validate whether you have an affected product and will arrange for a Gas Safe Registered Engineer to visit and replace the gasket in the air Warmer.

i hope this will be helpfull to you. PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO VOTE ME. GOODLUCK..............

Amana bottom freezer-

Your model does not have an auto damper so the most likely cause is the themostat is out of calibration or the control vent from freezer is open all the way. Try adjusting to warmer temps and see if compressor will run less. If the only action the thermostat will do is turn off then for sure the thermostat. If the compressor continues to run at warmer tempertures the thermostat wil need replaced. If the dammper vent is stuck open or broken will allow the colder heavy air to settle to bottom section. Cleaned behind and under the frig and now it won't work

Don't know if this a solution or not. We must have moved something or jarred something when we vacuumed inside the back. After we moved it out again, took the grill off the bottom in the front, cleaned it and put it back on, everthing seemed to work OK. We went to work that morning and when I got home in the afternoon, the freezer and fridge were both working fine.

Our fridge is a newer model and both the fridge and freezer are failing to cool- they are set to their usual temperatures but are both about 20 degrees warmer than that...

You need to check the defrost timer, defrost element, and defrost thermostat, one of these are not working. Most likely the timer ....

You might also check the kick panel at the bottom and make sure its clear of dirt and stuff... Sometimes if there is not enough airflow through there, you unit will not cool properly.

This is one of those things that could be a number of problems, its best to start with the obvious and work thru all of them one by one.......
