HI,Dear your rinnai 556 is not starting thats why it can not genrate the error code ,i advice you in this case you can not identifiy the exact problem. but i m trying to help you with my best tring:- What you need to do - Check the model number and serial number which are found on the data label located on the bottom of the right hand panel of the unit. Any Rinnai Energysaver Models RHFE-556T and RHFE-556FTRG Gas Air Warmers with a serial number contain the the year (YY) digits "00" to "07" may be affected. If you cannot read the data label or think you may have an affected model do not use the Air Warmer and inform anyone who may use the Air Warmer that they should not do so. Contact the Rinnai freephone helpline for further instructions, even if you have not experienced any problems
The helpline staff will validate whether you have an affected product and will arrange for a Gas Safe Registered Engineer to visit and replace the gasket in the air Warmer.
i hope this will be helpfull to you.
PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO VOTE ME.GOODLUCK..............
Your model does not have an auto damper so the most likely cause is the themostat is out of calibration or the control vent from freezer is open all the way. Try adjusting to warmer temps and see if compressor will run less. If the only action the thermostat will do is turn off then for sure the thermostat. If the compressor continues to run at warmer tempertures the thermostat wil need replaced. If the dammper vent is stuck open or broken will allow the colder heavy air to settle to bottom section. Don't know if this a solution or not. We must have moved something or jarred something when we vacuumed inside the back. After we moved it out again, took the grill off the bottom in the front, cleaned it and put it back on, everthing seemed to work OK. We went to work that morning and when I got home in the afternoon, the freezer and fridge were both working fine.
