SOURCE: removing base from tv

I researched this problem on the net and found the solution. Someone on one of the posts said the base can be removed by taking out four screws - all from the back of the TV. One screw is the one closest to the power plug, the next screw is beside it, the remaining two screws are the corresponding screws on the opposite side of the base panel (still on the back of the TV). Once these screws are removed the base comes off including the mounting bolt and the rectangular shaped plastic panel. There are no electronics or any components inside the base panel, only the bolt and plastic base which are held on by the four aforementioned screws. It was very easy to remove!

SOURCE: removing the base of flat panel tv

You don't have to mess around with the screws on the bottom of the base.

There are 4 screws on the back of the Toshiba that are in line with the wall mounting screw holes.

Remove the 4 screws and the base falls off.

SOURCE: Wall mounting Panasonic Viera 32" tv

There's a little more elaboration required on the above post...You need to remember that the base has two long pins that go up into the TV. These pins are held in by two screws each. The screws are on each side of the TV (two vertical inline screws, inside a small inset section). Remove all four screws and the TV will come up off the base. Pull it straight and gently, but firmly, to unseat it from the pins.

Nexus One

The Nexus One hardware is allegedly from HTC--from the same mold as the HTC Passion. Based on the current rumors, the Nexus One runs on the blazing fast Snapdragon processor, has a super high-resolution OLED touchscreen, and will be thinner than an iPhone.
Google is expected to market the Nexus One directly rather through any wireless carrier partnership. It is expected to be an unlocked GSM-based device which will be available in early 2010--possibly as early as January. If it is, in fact, GSM-based, that means it will work on either the T-Mobile or AT&T networks.
The number of Android-based handsets has exploded this past year. T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon each offer mobile devices built on Android. The most notable of these have been the recent release of the Motorola Cliq with T-Mobile, and the massive unveiling of the Droid from Verizon.
Google competing directly against Android-based devices from third-party manufacturers could ruffle some feathers. HTC, the company rumored to be producing the actual Nexus One hardware, has a variety of its own Android-based handsets planned for 2010, and the Nexus One would compete head-to-head with them.

Remove base of Insignia ns-ltdvd26-09 lcd tv for wall mounting

Open up the panel on the back of the TV which covers the various input connections. At the bottom of the area previously covered, there are 8 screws (two rows of four screws). Remove them, and the entire stand should now slide right out of the TV. You can then replace the screws back in their holes, so you don't lose them. You do not need to disassemble the stand to do this.
