1 long beep, 2 short beeps

This page

suggests hat for Asus systems, 1 long beep, two short beeps is characteristic of a RAM fault. The video card does not determine the beeps, it is the system BIOS of your computer which determines the beep codes (and what the fault is of course)
If your computer is not an ASUS, but some other brand but with an ASUS video card the beep code may mean something different.

2 SHORT BEEP AND 6 BEEPS ON BOOT Asus NCLV-D motherboard

2 short = Parity circuit failure 6 beeps = Keyboard controller Gate A20 error

make sure all hardware is installed properly
retrace your connections to insure all parts
were installed correctly. you may have to disconnect and start from the
beginnig to correct this problem. disconnect all unneccesary prephrial
leave only the mouse /keyboard and monitor hooked up and try booting again . eliminate as you go to narrow down to the problem.

2 short 6 long beeps, whats the problem? nothing on screen, no other signs.

Check your VGA Card it's properly connect and your memory module, maybe one of that is not functioning.

If still have that beeps then change temporarily your VGA Card with another. As long as you see some appears on the screen then it's good luck.

Good luck!

3 beep at the start

Thats a standard mother board warning...back when i built a few computers i got this all the time it meant "no Memory" or no ram chips were installed or that the memory was not compatible it should just beep three times with about a second delay in between each beep...then thats your problem...your ram might be dead! if it has 3 short beeps and boots up fine it could just be a start up beep i know of older computers beeping quickly 3 times before booting....though ive never delt with asus boards only Intel. but i doubt it would be much different
hope this helps,ben

4 seconds long beep

I think that either you have a bad power supply or it is not connected properly. I suppose it could also not be supplying enough power.

Try disconnecting all of the connections to the Motherboard and reconnecting them. Make sure they seat properly. Try a new power supply. You can get a good one from Newegg.com
