Contact any service Technician. It sounds that the tuner to this TV has damaged.

Our Sanyo TV stopped getting one major network channels (antenna) When rescan lost another major network channel. However the other TV's in our home get the channels. Does anyone know how to fix?

Has there been a building put up nearby or did the aerial move / get water in (or water down the cable)?
Check the plug end and if all fails then you might consider an aerial amplifier. I hope this makes sense.

I have a brand new technika tv 216/54g. It has freeview built in. I have a brand new indoor digital amplified aerial also technika but I cant get it to pick up any stations. Do I need anything else? please...

Hi there,

You don't necessarily need anything else, but you may not have a strong enough signal to pick up the digital/freeview channels using an indoor aerial. It could also be that the indoor aerial is not correctly aligned.

If the signal strength is lower than approx. 50%, the TV may detect them during the automatic channel scan but it wont store them. When the signal strength for any digital channel is 50% or lower it's more or less unwatchable - the picture would be constantly breaking-up or freezing and the audio drops out continually. Trying to scan for channels using an indoor aerial is rather hit and miss. Numerous attempts may be necessary before you get any channels.

Assuming you have a roof aerial, it is far easier to temporarily connect the TV to a fixed aerial point while you run the automatic channel scan. The TV will store all the channels and you can then move it to it's permanent location and connect the indoor aerial. You can then adjust the indoor aerial with the channels already stored until you find a location for the aerial where you have a good signal.

Doing it this way also eliminates the possibility of a fault with the TV and confirms that you are performing the channel scan correctly. If the TV is connected to a fixed aerial point and you are still unable to receive or store any channels, then it's likely that you are performing the channel scan incorrectly or there is a fault with the TV.

Please try scanning your channels using a known working fixed aerial point. If you are still unable
to receive any channels - or you don't have any fixed aerial points - please post back for further assistance.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
BElectric

Have somehow lost all our digital channels & when I try to rescan them it still doesn't work

Sounds like an Aerial fault. Obviously, the first thing you should do is check the the aerial connection to the TV.

Simple test for the aerial is to connect another television to the aerial connection for the faulty TV. If the second TV is OK, it's a faulty TV. If neither work, it's an aerial or aerial cable fault. If you don't have a spare to test with, can someone loan you one for a short time?

If neither work, check the aerial itself? Has it moved in the wind? Is it still pointing the right way (towards your transmitter). Has an element (one of the metal fins) broken off?

Try this and post back.

Hi, of you have any AV devices connected to the tv, try these to verify the unit will display a picture. if so and you have an aerial caonnected to the tv, then it is entirely possible that the aerial has taken a hit and destroyed the tuner. a TV technician will be able to confirm this for you

Lost our freeview. New TV in bedroom (Sharp LCD, LC-19SH7E-BK), which has freeview and was working fine. However, we set up a magic eye so we can have SKY (which we can now use through channel...

if you have connected your sky box as per instructions, putting the aerial coax to it and a fly lead(as in a male to female coax as used on a vcr to tv) from the output to the tv's aerial input, then disconnect the aerial from the sky box and put it back to the tv. The skybox will weaken and even loose the signal.

I rang the Alba helpline, whose cs lady told me I should have an outside aerial with this product anyway, and advised me to move my indoor aerial to the window-sill. Worked. Happy.
