If you raise the handset volume to the maximum level it will revert to the default after the call. To save the volume at current level stop at level 10 instead of 11 and the volume level should hold.

You can find allot of headsets that will work by googling the set type and the word headset. But I think what you are looking for is found i the programming of your phone system. In the class of service you can have the option for silent monitoring turned on and in feature access code add a code for Monitoring. Yes you are correct this is something for your Mitel vendor complete but i'm sure they would be happy to help.

You cannot change the time from the phone. Your system administrator must change the time in your PBX. If you have the latest version, you can have your PBX sync with an internet time server and will never have to update again!

This depends on the platform you are using. If it is a Mitel 5000 it could be headset mode. Try feature code 317. To toggle it off. If it is a 3300 system you need to call your provider. Need a little more info on this one. What is the model of the base controller? 5000 or 3300? Could be the phone. Swap that out.

You must log into the controller to program it. If it is a MiVoice Office, Mitel 5000 there is a way to change your display name but it does not change the description in the system. If you do not have the programming software contact your qualified dealer.

How do I pick up a call at another extension?


This is not a 5330 question but a system question. This phones will work on more than 1 system. On a Mitel 5000 or Inter-tel 5000 system the feature code is press the digit 4 then dial the extension number. Hope this helps.

Low volume on external forward calls


Are the phone company phone lines analog or POTs (Plain Old Telephone) lines? If yes, it is normal to have low volume when you put two analog trunks together. The fix is to use digital trunks from the telephone company like a PRI or T1 circuit.

You can't save the volume if you put it up to 10. Set it at 7 and see if it saves. If not volume save in the class of service option is not enabled

Hello, I'm trying to increase the volume on some phones mitel 5220 and 5224, but it only goes to 6. I need the volume level to go to 10. Do you have any ideas? Firmware is 07.02.00.04 Thank you


The ADA compliance requires that the phone when set to the highest volume level will revert back to factory default setting for the next call. This is a safety feature to prevent one's hearing aid from being blown up by a loud caller.
If you turn the volume up to 9, and leave it there, it will stay at 9. If you turn it up to 10, it will always revert back to default.

The time on the phone comes from the hosting system, a 3300, 200 or 5000. Somone with access to this system needs to change the time for you.
