Question about Jeep 2004 Grand Cherokee Laredo
The remote will not work. Can only open vehicle with key. Only driver's side responds to power windows, side view mirror and locking/unlocking. Passenger/hatch doors and windows remain locked. However, without notice, when the driver's door is opened from the inside, all of the doors unlock/lock. Then without notice once unlocked will not lock automatically which leaves the hatch UNLOCKED. Cannot find a way to lock hatch mannually.
Take the remote back to the dealer and have the codes erased and re-set. You can do this yourself if you want to. You can find the sequencing instructions on youtube for your year and model of jeep. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. The dealer has a machine that hooks to your wiring harness and fixes it in 5 minutes but they charge you $50.
