Vivitar 50 in 1 reader/writer

Win 7 64 bit Ultimate recognized the device and will read the media. However it won't write to it. I will transfer only one file and then Win7 64bit Ultimate looses it and cant find it until I unplug the USB cable and start all over again transferring only one file. A separate All in one card reader/writer works fine. However it is much larger in physical size and I like the smaller Vivitar for my gismo bag.

If it's in your Gizmo bag, it probably has Gremlins

SOURCE: how do i use a vivtar 50-in-1 hi speed card reader/ writer

First you need to install the drivers. If you don't have installation CD, use some software like this: Driver Update Software for XP Vista 7 8. After update you will be able to operate properly.
Wish you best of luck

CD/DVD PLAYER: won't recognize a new disk at all.

Hi

Is your cd/dvd rom a rw or just a reader, i would check up on the make and model of your burner and read what media it is compatible with to save you any headaches and hassles.

That way it will identify the media you need to buy to let you copy your data.

cheers

My Janome customizer 2000 will not write to the scan card. It says that it will not recognize the serial port.

Hi, I have the same problem with mine. Janome have not been very helpful. I didn't know if it was the card or the card reader/writer. I have a Janome CX500. Have you solved any of the problems?

Need a reader/writer or box converter for a Rose

It's a reader/writer box, however, the boxes (all brands pertaining to embroidery) use specially sized cards specific to embroidery programs. They don't work any differently than any other type of reader/writer or flash card, it's just that the generic brand cards will not fit.

The Box for the Rose (or any other Husqvarna) is hard to find because they don't make them anymore. Also, it requires a serial port instead of the new USB connection. Sometimes you can find them on Ebay. I don't know if anyone makes a serial port device with a USB adapter on the other end, but might be worth looking into.

I would suggest that you purchase one of the newer boxes that will read and convert any designs you may want to download from the net. There are a few . .

The Ultimate Box by Vicant which is also backward compatible to Win 98, which is what your Rose actually reads.

(There is also Magic Box, but I don't know anything about that one.) There's another one, also, but it only comes with a full embroidery program. $$$$

The only drawback is that it will not read any of your Husqvarna embroidery cards because they are code protected.

I have an Ultimate Box Plus with conversion feature and it works fine for me, very easy to use. If you get the box, make sure you get one that comes with the card and that it's an updated version.

Here's a link for information. I actually bought my box somewhere else cheaper, but this site is chocked full of information.

Hope this helps.

CD drive doesnt recognize a dvd

Sorry to say, but a CD drive cannot read DVD's. You need a DVD reader. Thus, the CD drive will not recognize DVD media and tell you no valid disc is in the drive. I recommend buying a DVD RW (reader/writer), as they are inexpensive and enable you to burn DVDs as well as read them.
