Winix wdh851 service manual

The owner's manual is here: http://www.sylvane.com/media/documents/products/winix-wdh851-dehumidifier-owners-manual.pdf
but that's probably not what you want. You might try posting your specific issue that you need the service manual for. For instance a fan that won't start is a common problem for dehumidifiers and a cheap fix. If that is your issue read this: http://www.fixya.com/support/t3588983-lg_lhd65ebl_serial_603taac20984
The article is for an LG dehumidifier but the thermistor mentioned is common to most brands.

My LG Dehumidfier 3850A20500H has stopped pulling moisture from the air it still runs but no wataer in the bucket what could be the problem? this starts happening after 1 year of purchase.

There are several things that can cause the problem you described. Most of which are easily remedied.

1. The humidity/moisture extraction level is set to high. Lower it to 35%

2, Air intake filter is dirty or clogged. Remove and clean the filter.

3. Refrigerant coils on the back of the unit are dirty and need to be cleaned.

4. Not enough clear air space around the unit. Maintain at least a minimum of 12" of clear air space all around the unit.

5. Unit is operating in a room that has an ambient air temperature at floor level, of between 40 -60 degrees F. Most dehumidifiers don't work well between those temperatures. Raise the unit up off the floor on to something sturdy enough for the weight of the dehumidifier when the bucket is full.

The above are the top 5 things that can cause a dehumidifier not to work properly. Fortunately, none of the solutions require any major repair to the unit.

Hope this helped you to further troubleshoot and solve the problem.

Our dehumidifier is making a loud noise, it is working but so annoyingly loud that we cannot use it in our finished basement.

The most common source of noise is the handle on the water bucket. I'd just remove the handle.

Someone told me there were lots of fire issues with lg dehumidifiers. Do you know if this is true?

These little units like the one shown are made by the same firm and sold under many brand names.
A common fault for broken dehumidifiers is a blown TCO in the fan motor. A TCO (Thermal Cut-Off) is like a fuse, but opens when it gets too hot. These are non-resettable and are there to prevent burning out the fan motor coil.
I've only come across a couple of slightly charred motors.

Dedumidifyer stopped working. still plugged in PIN# is 3850A20500h

99% of the time, (if compressor still runs), the fan is stuck with dust, or just needs oiling on BOTH ends of the fan motor shaft.
the other 1% will be because your water reservouir presence sensor/switch is not being activated by incomplete insertion of reservouir, or malfunctioning switch.

Dehumidifier only two years old now doesn't extract water from air since I just started it up again for the summer.

Problem is that you bought a dehumidifier made by the Korean/Chinese manufacturer LG.
Search the web and you will find that you are just one of many whose dehumidifier worked the first year but now draws no water out of the air even though it makes all the right fan and compressor noises.
Most common problem is that all the Freon refrigerant escaped, apparently because the copper tubing cracked and leaked. Penguins beware, there goes the Ozone Hole!
It cost me $14 and an afternoon of investigation and testing of my LG 504EL dehumidifier to figure this out. The fix-it web site "Just Answers" said that it wasn't worth fixing after I described all the symptoms. Tomorrow I will go to the local LG fix-it shop and try to get a replacement to tide me over until I can find a reliable dehumidifier.
Sadly, last Fall I took my 25 year old Westinghouse (made in America) dehumidifier to the dump. Even though it needed me to tune it up every year or two, at least I could fix it and it kept on working for 25 years.
Good luck!

Change the sensor assembly and all will be fine, about $30 from Appliance Factory Parts on line store, about an hour to do, all that is needed is Phillips screw driver to take unit apart.

Unfortunately this is quite common for most DH's of this type. The only one that I have found that does not have a reputation for losing the fan or compressor after a year or two is the Whirlpool.
