SOURCE: How do I replace the fan in my Fujitsu Lifebook

I found this in my archive, it is not the S7020 but it is the S7010. I believe they have the same case design, so this will most likely work for you. It is a aolor picture guide to the disassembly of the laptop.

Fan stays on and gets very hot

Unless the laptop is overheating and turning off, don't worry about it. Some laptops seem very hot on the bottom and so do some power cord adapters.

You can always by a cooling fan pad that sits under the laptop and plugs into the usb ports to help keep it cool for under $25.

My fujitsu siemens lifebook s 7110 is over heating what can ido?

You need to turn the laptop upside down and remove the panels, remove the fan assembly and clear the fluff and dirt from the copper heat sink.

If you don't feel that adventurous you can buy a laptop tray with built in fans that blow cool air into the laptop to help keep it cool and assist the main processor fan.

You need to open the back panel and remove the fan assembly, peel off the fluff and dust from it and reassemble.

My lifebook s series s7110 gets very hot and the fan stays on constantly. Do I need to clean the fan and filters? If so, how do I do it?

yes the fins on the cpu cooler build up dust and animal hair easily.
i use short puffs from a dry air compressor
you can do this by blowing back through the exhaust vent with a compressor(again short puffs) it should dislodge the dust
generally some notebooks have a cover over the cpu fan that can be removed. but many require disassembly of the entire shell
