Question about Dell OPTIPLEX 745 PC Desktop
I moved to Europe and I brought my computer with me. I hooked everythink up the right way and for got to flip the switch on the back of the computer to the right power and I plugged the computer to the nearest wall outlet and for a split second a pop sound happened. Now the computer does not turn on! What happened, how can I fix it and what? If it has fuses, where are they? I was in a rash to get everything packed and ready for shipping, so I did not even think about the switch on the back. Please help me and tell me what to do!
It is likely your power supply was fried, but this does not mean you are out a computer. Bring it to a local repair shop and they can swap your power supply that can adequately charge your components.

SOURCE: Dell Optiplex Power-on Problem
An Amber or Yellow power button means that the power supply is receiving power from the source but is unable to properly distribute it to the components. This can be caused by a defective power supply or a defective motherboard. Just to make sure that nothing else is causing the problem, remove any PCI cards like modem, video card, sound card, etc...
Look at the USB ports to see if any are damaged.

No boot device means that the computer cannot find a drive that has a operating system files and therefore cannot boot up.
This usually means that the hard drive in the computer is faulty.
You need to get a new hard drive and install Windows on the hard drive, together with the drivers for the computer's installed devices and programs to get a working computer.
