Question about Hotpoint Washing Machines
Picked up second hand as i've just moved out. Run it on rinse cycle, it works, but just fills up and up until i get f13 fault. Turn it off, to drain, back on, 1 in 5 times it will drain at high pressure, so pump ok, checked for blockages and cleaned anyway, someone had removed filter. The rest of time it starts to pump, pressurizes for about 1 second, and then it stops. Anyone had anything similar?
Your problem is with the pressure switch to locate it try to find a thin pipe going from the tub to the pressure switch it's a round machine having a thin pipe and some electrical cables, try to remove the pipe and blow air in it if there is dirt it will goes in the tub also check the filter if there is no filter it will not drain

Testimonial: "Ok thanks, well i'll give that a go when i get home tonight, and as for the filter, the plastic skeleton is there, but it looks like the gauze has been removed, it has drained once whilst I've been working on it so I think it at least thinks it has a filter. Thanks for your help"

Check your outlet filter, most likely it is blocked, preventing the water from draining out. Chk your pump too. Before this disconnect from the wall socket; and also check the pipe coming from the tub to the filter. Siphon out the excess water from inside the machine before you open the pipes.

This is a useless machine. I had it and after about 14 months, in quick succession, the pump broke and then the timer broke. A friend with the same machine had the same experience. AVOID!

Unplug the machine. Unscrew the 3 screws under the front edge of the washer. The service technician manual is attached to the panel that slides down and off. Find F21 code. See suggested procedures. Note: My drain pump filter had a baby wash cloth in it along with some change that was disrupting the flow. It is exceptionally easy to remove, clean, and reinstall. Just line up installation notches when reinstalling. Whirlpool should have mentioned this filter in the User & Care Guide, but I could not find it anywhere in there.

Power off the mains. The
filter is located behind the silver plate at the back of the machine at
bottom. Four screws hold it on. Drain
out all the water. The filter is inside
the big black rubber hose attached between the pump and the main drum.
the plastic clip holding it to the pump unit and then the metal cir clip
holding it to the main drum. Inside is a white molded cone and a big
which floats. You will find a lot of junk here, clean out thoroughly. To
put white cone back inside just as you found it, at the bottom, fit ball
into the cone. Attach to the bottom to the drum and re-fasten the cir
Finally reconnect the gator to the pump unit and tighten the plastic
clip. Check out the pump too before reconnecting.

I have an IZ12 jetsystem which sometimes works and other times it starts and then clicks and stops just before the water starts to run in. I usually turn it off and try it again a few hours later and then it starts to work again. Sometimes it is the next day before it will work again. Would anyone know the problem?
