Will not heat water

Ultimately, how I ended up fixing my Oster 5965 and Hamilton Beach Cool Touch Electric 40898 kettles that had the same problems as you (Nothing would work; no heat, no buttons would light up) was by taking apart the bottom screws (Be warned, for only one screw I needed a "Spanner Insert Bit"). I jiggled the connectors as I rang them out with my multimeter and everything seemed to work. Leaving the bottom off I retested the kettle and it just worked. I reassembled the parts and made my happy wife a cup of English Tea. Just one thing though. There's no Numerals that ever lit up on my kettle so not sure what you meant by that, sorry.

My Oster OM1201eovg microwave will turn on but it won't heat what I put in there. What's the problem?

Either the inverter which powers things or the Magnatron which in effect does the heating are bad.

If a fairly expensive unit it may be worth repair as these are of course two of the more expensive parts in the unit.

Oster 4724 rice cooker stopped working, blown fuse

I have fixed these several times. That fuse is a thermal fuse and a new one can be bought at electronics parts stores (Radio Shack?). I just bypass them with a piece of wire but then you risk a fire if it overheats again.
Those fuses come in various temperature ratings, so get one that's higher than the one currently in it. Normally the lever should pop up when all the water has boiled, stopping the heating element before the thermal fuse blows, so you may have another problem. The lever is attached to a bi-metal spring that flexes when a certain temp is reached. It may be "tired".

Oster microwave OM1101NOE wont heat carosel turns light is on time runs but not heat

There are three things to consider, the magnetron "heats food" high voltage diode "sometimes cracks" and the high voltage capacitor "sometimes shorts" one or more can cause the symptom of no heat. I recommend a professional to assess.

Oster ogf41101, unit display doesn't work, when

If there is no heating please do not switch on unless you have confirmed the fault. It is possible that the Magnetron is faulty, the temperature cut off is faulty or the main capacitor is short. It is also quite possible that insect can get into the oven and create soft spots. When you switch on these will create a short and make the voltage jump and in the long run damage the magnetron.
So Remove cover after disconnecting , check for dirt/moisture in the cabin, if so wipe clean and dry, check the magnetron and area clean and use an jet air to clean off.
Make sure that the program controller is working if not check power - step down supply, the pads are responding- if not faulty pads- or the door switches, if contact is not through the microwave will not work.

Now keeping clear of the microwave, switch on, use a cup of water inside to test.
If you notice any sparks shut off as the magnetron or the main HT capacitor can be faulty. replace with same type.
If there is heating without any issues, you can use the microwave safely

There is a brown film on the bottom of rice after cooking. Only the rice on the surface can be eaten. Why?

Either not enough water in the pot or heat is too high. Try lower heat setting first... if that does not do it, try adding a bit more water.

The biggest thing is the yeast. If it's even a minute past due then throw it away. Freshest is bestest. Also watch your water temp. not to hot, or too cold. Warm enough to your touch.
And make sure your yeast is in your little well on top.
