When printing text on every tenth or so Thank You Card, a card gets jammed and I can't seem to release the printer's grip on it. Is there a release other than the green lever above the rollers on the left side?

It really sounds like the teflon coating on the heat roller is worn and contaminated. On an M20 you will have to replace the fuser itself. Google a business called " the parts drop" Give Britt a call and he should have what you need. The M20 uses a unique hearing element. So the fuser itself will have to be replaced. The pages you are printing are tacking to the surface of the heat roller. Not uncommon .

Duplex printing with card stock paper jams in back on Brother MFC-9840CDW

I would try manually inserting the paper for the back side. Most of the time it's best to wait a few minutes before trying the back side to give it time to cool so it will lie flat.

Trying to print on card stock paper and get a paper jam Is there a setting for printing on card stock paper?

Hi Fuller90

Read your issue.
1. Kindly check the thickness of the paper. If the thickness of the paper or the card is more then normal paper, you will experience the paper Jam on this printer model.
2. You can try this step..... Take the Power cable out from the printer.
3. Press and hold down the power button for 35 seconds.
4. Now release the button and then plugin the power cable.
5. Check your issue.

Check the front rollers all turn when the cleaning button is pressed with the top open.
Check the front pinch rollers on the thin metal shafts are pulled down onto the cards by their springs. Check that the ends of the pinch roller shafts are retained in the plastic cam followers. The card is not being gripped to drive it back to print the Magenta panel.

P210i card printer not printing clearly or like picture at all

Their is really a few reasons for this.
1. Being the most Common. I can not stress enough How
important it is to CLEAN the print head. The surface the contacts the ribbon at the card. Swabs and Alcohol.

1. There may be dust or embedded dirt
on elements of the print head

2. Contrast and/or intensity colors for P310C
may be set to high values. Adjust contrast and
intensity values for in software or with
programming.

Now if photoshop. Ideal you would not print above 300dpi. Due to the printer limitation on dpi.

Some personal tips I can offer are.

To try playing with the advance color setting.
Re size the PSD to 600dpi then print. I will sometime s achieve good results.
When you DO the Black text. Leave it off for the color run. And
Send the card back thru with a black ribbon in the printer.

The thin about this series of printers is. The will not print like you and I hoped for.
See.. A state DL is printed onto a thin piece of plastic that is slightly Larger the a CR80 card. Then is it melted on the the blank card. Thus achieving the true EDGE to EDGE, Your printer and the several I have had. are not true edge. And they are not Hi-resolution printers like The ones at the DMV.
But with some practice and many. I mean many cards and ribbons. One can get close.

If this is the printer that has to work. And you can not get it to work.
Try this tip, But do not use excessive force. and Timing Is Critical.

AT your own RISK!

You have to have lid open.. Dis-sable the switch that stops the printer when the lid is up. Put the card in. and Print. As the card goes under the head. As soon as the head. Goes down to print. Apply some pressure on the top of the head near the front of the fan.

Now if is a CMY ribbon. You have to release pressure so it can let the card go backwards. When the head goes down. Apply Pressure. .

Hope this helps.......

No one has a NEW looking ID. In fact 9 out of 10 Id's are faded.....
Possible a faded look would work....

I actuall took time and wrote this out for you,,,,,, Hope it solved this question.

Paper jam

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

Postcards causing printer jam

I think the card is too heavy or too thick for the machine as when it prints it has to turn the paper. If the card is too rigid it is unable to bend causing a paper jam. Suggestion is to try a less grade of card.

Thanks J
