Run out of gas and put some watery gas in the tank, it cut off 3mins later

Just plain silly. Remove gas tank, drain and dry. Replace fuel filter. Fill gas tank with 5 gallons of fresh gas. Add a bottle of water remover to tank then start and drive. Good luck.

2001 chevy malibu. I filled up with gas this morning and didn't get very far and it died. Won't start back up. What could it be?

Hello! I'm not so certain that the filling of the tank and the fact that the engine died and won't start are related...Lets get a little background...Has the car been running poorly; Or was everything in tip top shape, and after filling the tank it quit? Is the Check Engine Light on now? Any idea how many gallons you pumped in; And the octane you used? And lastly, was it an often used gas station?

While using Craftsman blower it was running low on gas. I turned it off and when i opened the gas cap, it appeared to be highly pressurized. I filled the tank and when I pushed the primer bulb to restart...

Check age of gas. Cannot be more than 30 days old. Make sure to use fresh gas w/synthetic 2-cycle oil @ 40:1 ratio (1 gal.) Gas to 3.2 oz. Oil). Do not use old or stale oil/gas mixture. Always use the proper oil/gas mix. If you do not, your engine will suffer rapid, permanent damage. May need to clean or replace carburetor, fuel lines, and fuel filter.

There is a vent in the tank, it is situated on the right hand side of the tank, close to where the fuel hose exits the tank, the early vent looks like a round white pellet, the later vent is a white plug with a nipple on the top, the later vent will just pull out with long nose pliers, the early vent has to be extracted useing a self tapping screw, this of course will destroy the vent.

Lawn tractor won,t start. gas in carb and it will run until thats gone. seems to pump gas fine. checked plugs. got a little water in gas tank. what do I check/clean now/

If there's water in the tank, you should drain it. Disconnect the fuel line and dump the water. While you're at it check the fuel filter, and replace it if it's dirty. Use some compressed air to blow through the gas lines and hook them back up. Put fresh gas in and see if that fixes it.
