Question about Fisher and Paykel Washing Machines
My Fisher and Paykel Smart drive 503 top loading washing machine wont start. I have had a looky and i think there is just a problem with the start button, can anyone please tell me am i able to just replace this button or do i need to replace the entire Display Module? Prior to opening up the display module i noted that it said ' no field serviceable parts' which mad me think i might need to replace the entire module? which seems like such a waste when all the rest of the buttons work fine? Any thoughts on how much these cost? thanks, jules
Sounds like you've got the nous to fix it. They're a straightforward machine to work on, so have a go.
Here's the service manual for the Fisher & Paykel 503:

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

while under the lid there should be a tech sheet, explaining varions flashing light codes and there respective fixes for each instance, replacing tha switch(out of bal switch) seems like a good start though. cant remember if jumping it out will help, might be looking for a break in the line rather than continuity through it

I have a Fisher & Paykel GW609AU Smartdrive Excellence 6.5 Washing Machine that would start then stop then start then stop a few more times before eventually beeping.
I fixed it by bypassing(joined the white and yellow wire) the trip out switch which is located under the control module(one screw to remove). Now it Works.

Unplug the machine have someone tilt the machine back and look under the machine for a little fan on a motor give it a turn to see if it spins it might just be sticky or it may need replacing.
