SOURCE: CD Changer doesn't work after changing battery on Jeep Liberty 20

The CD changer probably failed to establish it's link to the head unit when you put the new battery in.

Since you've already tried the clear button, I'd suggest unplugging the IP-BUS cable (black cable) from the back of the changer, wait a minute (literally, 60 seconds) and plug it back in.

Alternately, try opening the CD changer door, ejecting the CD carrier and look for a small reset button below the opening. Press this with the tip of a pen and hold it for 10 seconds, then turn the radio/CD on again.

SOURCE: Where is the "hidden button"

This is a simple answer to yopur question it does not have one. Most factory decks do not The way you reset the unit is to unplug it from the back let it set a few minutes then plug it back it back in. Now I dont know what problem you have with your unit but that is how you reset it.

I have a jeep liberty w/ 6cd in the dash, when a cd is accepted into it, the machine says "ERROR".

it's been my experience that in dash changers are more trouble than they are worth, you would be better off replacing it with an aftermarket single disc player. it would be cheaper and will last longer.

Hello, it sounds like you may need to rebuild the CD mechanism. Very likely a new laser and/or spindle motor. I would be happy to assist you with this in more detail. Please feel free to contact us via email at CustomerCare@radiomedics.com or by tel: 877-4-RADIO-MD
