SOURCE: my brushes on my aquarius

The motor is located at the bottom rear of the washer.
Remove lower rear panel, unplug lead into motor,, remove earth wire.
Remove 2 bolts holding motor to drum, lever motor away from you to remove.
Brushes are located at the end furthest away from the pulley.
There has been more than 1 type of motor fitted to this model, so until you remove the motor, you will not know which brushes you need.

If it runs fine without the blades, it would certainly suggest that the blades are causing the problem. Replacements can be found at shaveroutlet.com at the links below

The gear tips are not available from the manufacturer. You will have to replace the whole assembly. Your other option is to but a used model of the same type off of ebay and take the gear stems off of it.

How to clean norelco 8846XL shaver ?

You will need to disassemble the heads and brush them out. You can soak the parts in rubbing alcohol if they are gummed up. This will loosen the material up so that it can be brushed away. An old toothbrush works well for this.
To disassemble the heads you will find a tutotial video at shaveroutlet.com. Click on link below and scroll down for video

How do you take apart the arcitec heads for cleaning

You do not need to buy new heads! You can still clean them. Simply use a stiff brush or toothbrush to brush away the large debris and then use an air compressor to blow away the remaining debris. Hold the air compressor air jet at an angle to the heads and they will spin very fast and the debris will fly off. Then rinse and apply a lubricant.

I have a Rotatract electric razor, HP1601. Do I need to lubricate and if so, how?. Can I still get parts, and if so, where and what? Can I get a manual somewhere. this is a very old razor that I haven't...

I have no way to get you a copy of an owner manual as this is a very old model made before Norelco begnning offering on-line user manuals.
There are some parts available for your shaver. The parts most likely to need replced are the shaver heads and the motor brushes. You will find these parts at shaveroutlet.com. See links below

http://shaveroutlet.com/norelco-philips-carbon-brushes-set-p-307.html

It is suggested that all shavers have the heads lubricated. Norelco makes a product for this and it is also found at shaveroutlet.com

http://shaveroutlet.com/norelco-al80-razor-lubricant-spray-p-255.html

Internal lubrication is not often needed but if your shaver is a bit noisy a 3 in one oil can be used. You will need to take off the outer case of the shaver by removing two screws on the one side and one screw on the other. Once the insides are removed, you can remove the two metal clips that hold the gear housing on. You can then remove the gears and lubricate the spindels they fit onto and oil the pinion gear.
Reassemble in reverse order

Shaver was running slow and then died. Replaced

Your original symptoms sure sound like dying batteries. Brushes can wear out. Check if it runs better if you change the orientation of the shaver. Does holding it upside down make it work better or worse? If the speed changes, its probably the brushes. You can buy new brushes, but the Norelco repair place will probably give you a hard time since they want to repair it for you so you have to insist. I have made brushes for the shaver by filing down brushes from some other motor, but this is messy and doesn't always work.

Charging is full but equipment is not starting

if the charge indicator is working and dispays full, you probably have some type of loose connection inside. Check the connection between the circuit board and motor. Less likely but possible that the motor brushes may be worn out. One way to test this is to remove head and turn shaver on...then turn one of the three gears by hand in a clockwise direction. If it then starts to turn slowly on it's own, the brushes are probably bad
