Bad dimmer. Probably not using a high enough watt rated switch. Add up the total of all bulbs to be dimmed and get appropriately rated dimmer. 8x60 watt bulbs=480 watts. Make sure dimmer is rated high enough.

SOURCE: Have 3- 13 watt mini spiral bulbs on fixture. When

-Replace the compact florescent bulbs with regular incandescent bulbs and see if problem continues.
-Lighting controls are made for different kinds of bulbs.
-Your package should say what the watt rating and type of bulb.

According to the PR180 manual:
-I am looking at the Leviton PR180 occupancy sensor manual, and the PR180 sell-sheet, and these documents say for incandescent and fluorescent (rapid-start magnetic ballast only).
-Compact fluorescent are supposed to have a magnetic ballast.
-The manual does not specifically say it works with 'compact fluorescent'
-The manual does not say there is a minimum amount of wattage either. Some controls will not work correctly if the overall wattage is low. Your overall wattage is 39watts.

Read the product package (if this is a new installation and you have the package)
Try the incandescent bulbs.
If the PR180 is not your product, add a comment with product number and I'll look for information

Transformer hum with dimmers is a problem. Lutron may offer you an inductor to add to the wire to help. Replacing your 50w bulbs with 12w LED bulbs may help, too. Same light output.

Hyundai accent 2001 will not start all lights work radio works heater fan works battery in 3 months old when I turn the key all i hear is a humming sound for about 1 min. than nothing. weather has be

The humming would be the fuel pump coming on. It should only hum for a few seconds, then shut off.
Your problem is with the start circuit from the battery to the starter, or from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid. Check the connections at the starter (the big cable) for tightness.
Is the battery charged up enough to turn the engine over? Check by turning headlights on and observe while someone turns key to crank. If they dim a LOT, then either battery is too low, or the starter is bad and needs removing for testing. If brightness doesn't change, then the circuit from ignition switch to starter solenoid is likely not working. Check for 12 volts at the small wire to starter solenoid with key in cranking position. If you have power there, the solenoid may be bad. Remove starter for testing. If no power at solenoid in starting position, then either the ignition switch is bad or the neutral safety switch might be the problem, or the wiring from the switch to the starter solenoid is not passing current.
Good luck.

My microwave has stop heating up food. What is the cause?

There are several things that can cause this:
1. Bad high power diode failure (most common and usually causes a loud humming sound when it fails initially then never heats again)
2. Bad capacitor (open or shorted)
3. Stuck Magnetron oscillator (Makes a loud humming sound when the Diode and capacitor are known to be good.) / Magnetorn failure
4. Door interlock safety switch failure. (You should hear 3 clicks on most microwaves as the door just opens or closes... if your microwave light does not come on when the door is opened you only have 2 micro-switches and only hear 2 switch clicks.
5, Main control board relay failure / main board failure.

Those are the most common reasons listed in order of usual failures. Each one of the above possible failures has a different troubleshooting procedure.

I have a power problem with my WRT150N. All lights light up when pluged in. Then the lights go off. But the power light is dim and the wireless light is really dim. The router is humming also.

Base from the description of your problem this is a sign if a hardware failure already on your router meaning router is already dead, what we can try to do here to revive the router is to do a hard reset on the router.
Follow this in resetting the router using a pen of paper clip you need to press and hold the reset button of the router for 30 seconds while power is ON and after that power OFF the router for 10 seconds and power it back ON and then check if all the lights are still the same if still the same the router is already bad and if its still under warranty have it replace.

The humming noise and dimming of the lights is an indication something in the outdoor unit is locked up or has failed.

Check the capacitor as it may have gone bad. If the capacitor is good, then you either have a failed motor, a failed compressor, or both.

WHEN I PLUG IN MY COMPRESSOR, IT JUST MAKES A HUMMING NOISE. THE LIGHTS IN THE AREA GO DIM ALSO.

one of three thing possible, the start capacitor on the motor is no good, the start switch inside the motor is faulty, or the motor and or pump is locked up. if you do not have the test equipment to check it out I would advise finding a motor repair shop.

Humming inside the switch

Is it connected to a fan motor also? - most dimmers are for lights only - if there is a ceiling fan connected you may experience a humming sound from the dimmer
