Panasonic th 37pw5 tv

Hi, I am trying to connect my laptop to my old Panasonic TH-37PW5 via the VGA connection but the tv doesn't appear to have any channel for showing the display from the laptop. I have always connected my laptop to various TV's and never had a problem, what should I do? Please help, I have been looking for an answer for hours!!!

Sorry if this is late. I have the same issue and I have found I have to disconnect the receiver box before the pc function works. It is annoying to say the least

SOURCE: connecting asus M51V to Panasonic TH-42PX8A plasma via HDMI

Hi

Make sure your TV does indeed support the resolutions you are trying to use. Some low quality HDMI cables can also be troublesome in higher resolution so try one you are sure to work.

Regarding to the desktop only being extended when using the RGB cables, try bringing up the desktop properties window, select the TV as the primary monitor and select "Use this monitor as Primary monitor". You might have to drag the windows Taskbar over to the other monitor, just rightclick the taskbar, uncheck "Lock the Taskbar" and drag it over to the other monitor.

Hope you find this solution helpful, and please rate it if you do so..

best regards,

Karl

Have Panasonic The;37pw5 plasma tv . How do I get broadcast tv?

You will need some sort of digital (ATSC) to analog (NTSC) OTA signal converter (set-top box) with an antenna. The Panasonic TH-37PW5 only has NTSC (in the US) or PAL (UK) tuners. There may be a few low power NTSC stations still broadcasting in the U.S. However, you need to be close to their transmitter to receive the signal. You can use one of the original converter that were available with the government coupon. There are some newer models available. Look at your choices carefully. You will need a converter with RF, composite video or component video output. Any model with only HDMI out will require an additional converter connected between the set-top box and the TV.

The specifications for the TH-37PW5 are available on page 38 of the manual. This is available from Panasonic here: ftp://ftp.panasonic.com/television/om/th-42pw5_en_om.pdf .

I hope this helps.

Hi there
I've just looked at that TV model, and it appears that your TV does not support a separate audio connection for HDMI sockets. It also appears that your laptop model has a issue with sending audio via HDMI. Are you running Linux, or windows?
Hope this helps

Can i connect my panasonic viera th-42px8ou plasma tv,to my vista desk top? my tv has hdmi on it,my vista tower also says it has 1 hdmi connector on the back of it

You can buy an HDMI to DVI adapter (around 20$) to connect your HDMI computer cable to your TV. You will need separates audios cables, right and left, to bring the sound to the TV.

I have connected my PC to Panasonic TH-L24C20D, I want audio output via TV speakers. what to do?

If your computer has an HDMI output, the audio is already connected to the TV in digital format via its' HDMI input. However, if you are using the VGA from the computer, you will need a separate audio system to output the audio from your computer. The VGA is an analog video only. Your TV does not have an audio input so therefore you need a speaker system from the computer.

Hook up for dell inspiron 6000 to panasonic th-50px80u

the TV supports resolutions as follows:-

VGA (640 × 480 pixels), WVGA (852 × 480 pixels),
XGA (1,024 × 768 pixels), WXGA (1,366 × 768 pixels)

You need to set the PC desktop res to one of these resolutions and then simply connect the VGA o/p on the laptop to the PC input on the TV. You can also connect the audio out of the PC to the TV if you wish by connecting the audio into AV2 audio input on the TV

The other option would be to use the S video o/p on the PC and connect into AV3 input (audio inc) but I suspect the picture quality will be better via the VGA

Please post back if you have other questions or problems.
