SOURCE: Hello, Have you an instruction manual for the

I went to Berninausa.com and there they listed manuals for the Bernina 820 and 830 only. Maybe the manual is close enough for your model.

SOURCE: What is the RRP of a Bernina model 807?

The 807 is a very old model, resale price would be low because the spares are very costly, there is no RRP on that machine now.

SOURCE: bottom thread showing through in a loop

If you had just changed the thread, try re-threading or just raise the presser foot (this opens the tension) and pull about 6 " of thread through the needle.

Foot down closes the tension to the setting you have selected.

If this does not work, the machine will need to go into the shop.

Berninas hold their value better than any other brand, so be sure to go to an authorized Bernina dealer for service and repairs.

Bernina 930: the thread pops out of the uptake lever every few seconds of sewing.

Be sure that when you thread the top thread, the presser foot is ALWAYS IN THE RAISED POSITION.

I have a different machine with the opening on the top of the take-up lever and the thread "jumps" out when I sew fast. I simply folded a piece of tape over the top of the opening and it doesn't jump out anymore... Just create something that will close the opening at the top.

I have a Bernina Sport 801. The thread has started to flip off the thread take up while Im sewing. I tried tightening the tension a bit which helped for a second. Ideas? Thanks.

I experienced the same issue with an older Pfaff, especially when I sew very fast. I fashioned a piece of tape to close the opening in the take-up lever...no more jumping thread! You can probably use other items (like hot glue) to close the opening. A cheap fix that works!

Which model old style cam type buttonhole attachment from Singer will fit on the Bernina 807 minimatic machine that is an equivalent to the singer featherweight that I can make keyhole buttonholes.

In my earlier response, you need a shank that is made for your Bernina 807 and Berninas made in that era. Only "Old Style" Bernina presser feet and adapters will fit your machine. No other brand will work, not Singer, not Janome, not Brother, nothing but Bernina Old Style. There are several Bernina old style presser feet. Look for presser feet with the number printed in black ink or presser feet that have the number stamped into the metal. Do not buy a Bernina presser foot with red numbers--will fit only newer Bernina machines.

If you want to use the Singer buttonholer attachment, it needs to be for a straight shank machine. You will need to have a Bernina shank adapter for your machine.
Bernina Presser Feet (down at the bottom of the page, click on the blue text that says "Bernina Shank Adapter" On the next page, scroll down to the last two items that indicate they are "Old Style." The first Old Style item is the shank adapter you would need to attach the Singer buttonholer attachment to your machine. (Am assuming it will work, no guarantees!) If it doesn't work, then you will probably not be able to use the Singer buttonholer with your Bernina machine.
This shank adapter would fit your machine:

If you are looking for a snap-on adapter, it needs to state that it will work with a Bernina Old Style machine, ie the old Record machines (930 Record, 830 Record, 730 Record, 707, 807 Mini, 630 Record, and 530 Record--or in other words, Berninas manufactured prior to probably 1996).

Bernina Presser Feet (down at the bottom of the page, click on the blue text that says "Bernina Shank Adapter" On the next page, scroll down to the last two items that indicate they are "Old Style." If you are looking for the snap-on, go to the very last item on the page (Old Style). This will fit your machine. Remember, if it says Old Style, it should work on your machine.

This snap-on shank will fit your machine:

This presser foot will fit your machine:

This is an entire kit of snap-on feet with shank (included) that will work on your machine:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-Feet-Set-for-Bernina-Sewing-Machine-Old-Style-530-1630-Models-/381790565625

Here is a kit of snap-on feet with shank (included) as well as the buttonhole attachment you were asking about:

Although, I believe you will be able to make only straight buttonholes with this buttonhole attachment.

Hope this helps.

How do I use the button hole foot on the Bernina 807 minimatic?

There isn't an automatic button hole on this machine. You can do it manually. Thread the bobbin thread as usual, but put it through the little hole on the hook in the bobbin case. Set the stitch length between 0 and 1, like a nice satin stich. Set the needle position to the far left and the stitch width to 2. Sew down the left side. Center the needle, set the width to 4 and lower the feed dogs, stitch about 6 stitches across the bottom. Then reverse the direction, set the needle to the right, stitch width to 2 and go back up the right side. Lower the feed dogs again, set a wide stitch and finish the top.

Another good option is to buy a universal presser foot shank from Bernina and then attach an old cam type buttonhole attachment from Singer. They make beautiful buttonholes and you can even do a keyhole button hole.

Bernina 807

It can be done but you will need to find the right repair person and a replacement motor. A Bernina store that has a good technician on board is a good place to start. Frequently, they will have old donor machines that they can rob parts to repair other machines.
