SOURCE: Candy DWI 160 dishwasher water not heating.

the only things is the TIMER: CAN BE FAULTY, maybe is stuck, not completely the cycle.
Clean the contact with special spray, loose the wires, replace burn wires, or break wires.

Water doesn't heat up and cycle seems to be stuck, candy DFI 45

What is a Candy brand dishwasher? Made in the UK? That is not a manufacturer I have ever heard of here in the US.
What do you mean, 'doesn't seem to heat up any sense?'
If the dishwasher is older than 5 years, write it off to age a buy a new, high quality machine. Or do the dishes by hand.
Machines get old and die. If you are UK native, don't buy anothre Candy.

E3 - Water heating time out or fault

The dishwasher has failed to heat with water in a reasonable time or has failed to detect the water heating element.

E3 - Missing heating of the water.

Could be:
· Clogged filtering plate.
· Defective heating element.
· Defective wiring (open circuit, leads
off place or loose).
· Defective electronic control board.

You have already changed all major electrical components energized during the heating phase. But do not forget that failures sometimes could be mechanical. For example: failure could be in hydraulic circuit of pressure switch, sometimes hydraulic circuit can lost air pressure. Another note would be that your dishwasher have NTC thermistor which every second gives information about temperature to electronic than electronic controlled heating element by a relay.
In order to heating element come under the voltage is necessary to fulfill a couple of requirements. Microswitch on the door in the closed position, the pressure switch in position 11-13 (full position , level of water) and the main switch is turned on.

Candy cs455m programe stops at about 3oclock on the dial

Yes heatr should be submerged in the water. Not expose to free air.Check the water level float switch or the pressure switch.

The replace timer should be identical in design. If there is a mismatch it will not function as designed.

If it is elctronic micro controller type the same part no and soft ware version should be used.

Water is not heating in dishwasher

On the BDW13 Baumatic dishwasher I had the same problem, as I fix gas boilers I ohm tested the heating element, which was ok, I then tipped the machine on its side and took the bottom off, be careful, always disconnect the electric and water, underneath there are two thermostats, I know them as thermistors on a boiler, they screw into the brackets that hold the element in place inside the dishwasher, I unscrewed them after removing the wire connectors(pull off) I then ohm tested them and found one was an open circuit(faulty) the problem is, the one that was faulty is a non-self-resetting type, which means it has to be replaced once it has tripped, which is a real pain, the other one resets after it has cooled down.
