Question about Brother IntelliFAX 3800 Plain Paper Laser Fax
We exclusively use this standalone fax machine for all fax receiving / sending at our the office. I do routine maintenance on the unit like cleaning the drum unit area, clean the printer, doc scanner, change the toner, etc. Lately, when we attempt to fax out, the paper goes thru but the machine makes squeaky noises like gears grinding at each other. It's not loud noises, but still noticeable. When I open the document scanner, everything looks normal and the rubber guides looks normal as well. When I hook it up to my laptop and print via USB connection, there are no noises, so I think the problem is just the doc scan area. Is there anything I can do to stop the noises like oiling it? Thanks for your prompt assistance.
