Background running programs must be the reason for that you must use some start up manager or background application manager to avoid such type of problems, The one well known and reliable program is Reginout to manage everything on your PC & will secure your videos from getting slow and choppy.

Can i update the video card for hp a610n

Hi.

The HP Pavilion A610N was not designed for Win 7 Ultimate as it was only shipped with 512MB of RAM (memory) The Video card is integrated and only supports 64MB, you will have to purchase a AGP 8X video card to install.
Unless you have maxed your memory to 1GB then it could run Win 7 fairly well, If not i would go back to XP.

Regards.

Choppy Video? What do you mean choppy video? Is the video starting and stopping rather than playing continuous? If so, either you need more memory or the site you are watching the video from is slow. Also sometimes you line speed on the computer might be slow if you are watching the video online.

How does the video play if you played a DvD in your computer? If it plays the DvD without stalling, then your problem is more than like the site you are watching or the line speed as you stream the video.

When ever I play video and sound files, or run computer games, even computer booting up, the audio is laggy and choppy with lots of static, and video playback is accompanying it by being choppy and laggy. ...

I would reinstall the sound driver by going to the control panel choose system then when the device manager tab comes up choose hardware.Find the sound devices then right click on it to remove it.Windows will autimatically re-install the device.

Choppy pages while scrolling and watching movies. how to fix?

That sounds like it has got the wrong speed RAM installed. Too slow for the processor or there is a problem with the display driver.
Check there are no conflicts in Device manager.
Hope this helps.

Whenever I try to watch video on my computer it keeps pausing then starting back up. It is very choppy with the constant starts and stops. What causes this and how can I fix it?

If you are watching online video this is normal for a slow internet connection. Live streaming needs alot of bandwidth. Its not your laptop.

Is it ok with a DVD movie or downloaded movie??

First off my scroll bar stopped working. now when

HP Quickplay is already a blotware (bulky). Try some other players like VLC or media player classic.

About the touchpad, there's no scroll because u have not loaded the driver at startup. Only basic touchpad driver is loaded. So, u need to add the driver program to startup. I hope it would be of synaptics. Run the pgm in program files folder. Ur scroll will be fine
