WHIRLPOOL CABRIO WASHER ERROR F2

The Cabrio Washer F2 error happens when the main control detects a stuck key on the user interface. The steps to take to try and fix the F2 code problem are below:

Unplug the washer for five minutes and then plug it back in, this will reset the control board.
If the persists then the only way to fix it is to replace the user interface board.

one or more keys on the user interface were actuated for 15 seconds or longer. If a key is stuck and cannot be freed up then the user interface control will need to be replaced

I would suggest that a technician be call for a diagnosis of the problem and a quote be obtained for the repairs first

F2 is said to be a stuck key on the control panel. check to see if they are all ok.

The F1 code means that a button on the touchpad is stuck

The F2 means that the oven tempature was at least 100 degrees over what the temp it was set to was

the F1 will come sometimes if the ribbon connection on the touchpad doesnt fit well into the control board and other times it comes because the touchpad is defective

the F2 comes up because the control has measures the temp and thinks that when it set as lets say fro instiance 350 degrees the control thinks the temp ahs reached 450 degrees(100 plus over) typically the thing wrong when the F2 comes up is the oven sensor at room temp to be between 1060-1100 ohms

However if you are getting both error codes at the same time the only thing common to both is the oven control and if both at the same time i suspect the control is the problem

Most of your F2 errors on stoves has to do with a stuck key. Use a hair dryer or a hot dish towel to warm up the keypad to loosen up that stuck key.

Hi, i found three all same series... If it's occasional I'd leave it 'till was always on? Anyway .....
F2 - E0 Shorted keypad Replace Electronic Range Control/Clock (ERC)
OR....
F2 Oven temperature sensor shorted Replace oven temperature sensor
OR

F2 Temperature runaway detected (Bake/Broil: 600 - 700 F; Clean: 930 - 1000 degrees F). Sounds alarm and resets to non-cook mode. Check relay board for stuck contacts. Check oven temperature sensor for normal room temperature resistance (1085-1097 ohms at 75 degrees F). Check sensor wiring connectors for a loose or high resistance connection. Check electronic range control (also called clock or ERC) functions Replace relay board if necessary. Replace oven temperature sensor if other components check normal. If failure repeats, replace electronic range control (also called clock or ERC)

Your error code is for a stuck keypad. You can try pressing every button at random several times each to unstick.'
When the control board is changed on these ovens the keypad assembly is supposed to be changed also.

F2 EO Shorted keypad/

1. Disconnect power from oven for longer than 30 seconds.
2. Reapply power and observe for longer than 1 minute.
3. If failure remains, disconnect power, replace control, then go back to step 2.
F2 E1 Keytail unplugged 1. Verify that keypad is plugged into the connector on back of control.
2. Disconnect power from oven for longer than 30 seconds.
