SOURCE: We need to replace the baking heating element of

Yes you can - yes it is worth it. First unplug or turn the breaker off to your unit. The bottom bake element is held in by 2 screws at the back of the oven. remove both of them and gently pull out the element a little. there are 2 wires attached to the element either by 2 more screws or push in connectors.

A lot of the time you can see where the element is burned out but sometimes you may have to check it for continuity with an ohm meter to tell if it is bad.

Kenmore wall oven upper element will only come on when broil selected, not while bake is selected

Then you have a bad BAKE element, or the relay on the control board has failed. I would test the element for continuity ( since I have no model number to be more specific), and replace it if it is open or shorted, or if there is any blistering or breaks in it. Bake Element WB44K5012

Kenmore electric range model 911.95875790, no heat to either baking and broiler elements.

Hello. I looked carefully at the service manual for your unit--surprisingly, there is no thermal switch inline with the bake/broil elements. Usually, if the bake or broil elements pop, this blows out the thermal switch, killing power to the elements for safety. The main control board can get damaged due to the high current draw during a short-circuit. The part number for the main board is WB27T10008. The overlay(the decorative sticker with the button/names on it) numbers are as follows: almond WB27T10022, black WB27T10023, and white WB27T10021. I hope this helps you!

How to solder the ends back on a bake element

If the bake element terminal was shorted and burnt off, you will need to replace the bake element with a new element. Supply a model number and brand of appliance and I will supply a part number for you. Soldering will not hold as the solder will melt and break away shorting again. Possible to spot weld it if enough terminal left.

Oven will not heat, but burners still work

Without model number assuming burners on top and free standing unit.
The burners working tells you there is 240 volts to the unit. There are three possibilities, the bake element is burnt out, a wire is burnt off, a control part has failed. Bake elements can not be pulled unless the power is disconnected, because very often one side of 240 volts(120v) is wired direct so unplug, do not think having all controls off is enough. You can usually pull the bake element fairly easily by taking out two mounting screws and unplugging two wires. (these can go back on either way to the two terminals, does not matter just be sure tight) Take and have tested at appliance store, usually these test about 20 ohms. If that is good need to service from back and check voltages with a meter to find where problem in circuit is.....
good luck

Also check clock it is not accidentally in time bake setting, should be manual for most cooking (do this first before anything else)

Bottom heating element burned out. Can I get a new one and how do you replace it?

You will need the model number of the machine, Once you have the model number, you can call a parts store to get the part you need.

When you have the part. Very important! First Turn off the power to the machine at the breaker box or sometimes called fuse box.
There are usualy 2 screws holding the bake element in, Remove them and pull the element out untill you see the end of the element and wires attached to them. NOTE : Go slow. You will see the wires at the end of the element. Just take a look at the new one to see what it will look like. Next, remove the wires from the old bake element, they are either screwed on or cliped on with a spade terminal. Take the old bake element and new element and make sure they match. now put the wires on the new bake element and reinstall. Then you can turn the power back on and test.

Kenmore electrical oven

Trying to better define the problem....

Do you have any cuts, holes or "shorting" or tin-foil/aluminum around your bottom bake heat-element? If so, you may need to replace the baking Heat Element. (Ensure you do not use aluminum foil around your heat element to prevent your oven from getting dirty)

To replace your baking heat element, with power off; remove 2 screws securing the bake element. Slightly tug and pull towards you for about 3 inches or so and disconnect the connecting wires at each end. Then completely remove the heat element and install new in reverse manner. Whats' you're model number?

Electricity getting to broiler element but not baking element

Get me the exact model number and I'll provide you a part number and the correct pricing info. That's way out of line, that part is probably less than $130.00 and is easy to replace yourself.
