Question about Singer 7469Q - Confidence Quilter Machine

Open Question

My machine will only run in reverse

It was sewing perfectly fine, and then I stopped to move to the next stage of my project. When I went back to sew the next piece, it would not sew forward. I will sew in reverse (without the foot pedal, only using the button) but it I cannot get it to sew forward. It also beeps 8 times when trying to sew.

No - this is entirely UNhelpful, and a very snarky response. Who in the world would not read a manual first before asking for help?

Why is my hand wheel difficult to turn on my Singer Tradition machine? It was working fine and then just stopped working smoothly. Any suggestions?

This happen to me I left the bobbin in lock position. when I fill up my bobbin on the top I push toward the right to lock in place. and when your forgot to push it back to un lock it. And that will cause also the wheel not to move..

Pressed foot is not moving to sew

this bobbin spindle alternate postion is for loading the bobbin from a spool of thread. on older machines with a wheel the inner part of the wheel was turned to dis engage to foot end to do the same task.

Singer 3321 Talent Sewing Machine jammed after one turn forwards or backwards, even when thread and needle removed it won't work

This sounds more like the motor is bound up. The other solutions are, check for thread wrapped around moving parts, any belts that may have become displaced.

Sewing machine runs on its own

Turn the power switch to the off position and use the pedal. I suspect you only use the L and H for winding the bobbin automatically and the machine only has one speed.

II replaced and now handwheel difficult to to turn and cannot catch bobbin.

did you get the machine from a dealor or individual? not all machines put their needles in the same way. do you have a manual? it sounds like the machine needs to be cleaned (serviced). the oil is probably thickened, and will freeze the machine up. make sure the needle is in correctly, and threaded correctly. bobbin too.

My Singer sewing machine model #7470 keeps stitching after I remove my foot from the pedal.

Mine was doing the same thing. I called Singer and if the reverse stitch is working fine, it's a problem with the foot pedal. They sent me a new one under warranty. If the reverse stitch is having issues as well, then it could be a problem in the machine itself.
