SOURCE: Microwave

The Panasonic NN-S960WA (may be identical) has the fuse at back, right, on top, & inside the cover. The screws are tamper proof screws. You can create a slot in the heads (2 screws) with a hacksaw blade and open with a flat blade screw driver. Don't forget to unplug the unit first.

SOURCE: Internal ceramic fuse repeatly blown.

If it went dead almost immediately after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a shorted high-voltage capacitor.

If it went dead several seconds after pressing the Start pad, that's usually a failing high-voltage transformer.

If it goes dead or blows the breaker (or GFI) when you plug it in or open or close the door, then there's a problem with a door switch or door switch mount. See: http://www.microwavedisplay.com/doorsw.txt in this case.

If this unit has an inverter some parts are difficult for the average do it yourselfer to replace, such as parts which are spot welded, not using removable connectors.

In such cases, it's best to replace the entire inverter.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on them.

Where is fuse located

Leonard, first, unplug the microwave and then turn it around so that you are looking at the back of the unit. Take the screws out that hold the cover onto the unit, most will be accessible from the back, but some may be on the side as well. Once you have all of the screws out you can remove the cover and set it aside. Find where the power cord goes into the back of the unit and follow the black wire from the cord to where it stops. Usually it will go either to a circuit board where your fuse will be located or it will go directly to the fuse holder. The holder could be a block mounted to the unit or it occasionally goes to an in-line fuse holder. The fuse will be stamped with the amperage rating on one end of the fuse on the metal collar. You need to make sure that you replace it with the same amperage fuse. Hope this helps!

H98 error message. Micowave not heating, stops after 37 seconds

HI. in most cases, this will lead to a failed Heating device(magnetron tube). It would be wise to check the Magnetron cutoff fuse to be sure of its integrity. if the fuse is blown, simply replace it. if the fuse continues to show continuity, replace the magnetron.

(((The fuse is located inside the unit along side the magnetron)))

My Panasonic The Genius microwave just stopped working not getting any power to display. Wondering if it is the fuse and where that would be located.

HI, if this unit is totally dead, this may be a power inverter issue. there is a fuse located on this board inside the unit. you will need to gain access to this board and fuse by removing the outer cover. there should be a few screws on the outside of the microwave to remove.

Check the In-line fuse for its value. if the fuse is good, replace the power unit(inverter board)

No power on the microwave

HI, there is an in line fuse located on the Ac power cord near the power supply inside the microwave. Check to see if the fuse is blown. replace the fuse if needed. Now, if the fuse is in good condition, this will confirm power board failure. you will need to replace the failed component or replace the entire power assembly in this case.

Where is the fuse and reset button for the Panasonic NE1064TC located. Can anyone help with this. Thanks,

On our Panasonic microwave there are two fuses, a regular cylindrical current fuse and a one-time "thermal fuse." If you remove the case which in our unit is held on by a handful of screws on the back of the unit, both fuses are visible if you stand at the rear of the unit and look on the left hand side. The thermal fuse is the gadget attached to the top of the magnetron heat sink. It is typically in the white wire. The current fuse is located in the black wire. I hope this helps!

Microwave oven

Check the wall AC outlet by using a meter or another electrical appliance such as a table lamp. If no power there replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.

Does your microwave light up when you open the door?

If not, it could be a bad power cord, on/off switch AC cord or fuse.

Check these first.

If you cannot solve the problem, you'll probably need service.

Hope this helped.

Fuse

The fuse is normally located either on the floor of the oven behind the control panel, between the door switches, or on the metal bracket / plate near the large high-voltage transformer.

This model uses an inverter, so the fuse may be located on that board.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

I would recommend that you contact your nearest Panasonic-authorized servicer.
