Cant get black device to play

Does the device turn on at all?
If it does then turn it off open the device (as in break open the device to reveal the circuitry), and check to see if the connections are not torn or something. If not and it is not working then only two things:
1. (Doesn't turn on at all)Battery is broken or circuit board is fried OR
2. Speaker has blown.
I think (not really sure about it), but if you can call the makers and ask them a way to get replacement?? Maybe. But have a nice day.

Cant figure out how to hook them up

Two audio input cables are supplied with the speakers. If your computer has a stereo mini jack, use the cable with a stereo mini plug. Otherwise, use the cable with RCA plugs on both ends. Match the colors on the connectors to the colors on the jacks, red to red and white to white.
The speaker cable is already attached at one end to the accessory speaker. Plug the other end into the TO ACCESSORY SPEAKER jack on the powered speaker.
1. Connect one end of the audio input cable to AUDIO INPUTS A. 2. Connect the other end to your computer's AUDIO OUTPUT jack. We recommend using LINE OUT if your computer sound card offers more than one option. 3. To connect a separate CD-ROM, or another source, repeat steps 1 and 2 using AUDIO INPUTS B.
You must connect the AC power pack to operate the speakers. 1. Plug its cable end into the power jack on the powered speaker. 2. Plug the power pack blades into the wall outlet. 3. Turn on your computer sound source or external sound source.

Are you connecting with mini cable? make sure you have right cables... Apple uses a 3 ring mini end where most mp3 players use a 2 ring connector

Hissing from computer speakers and they are new

Hello
A hissing sound indicates the speaker amplifier has no input from the computer sound card, check to make sure the speakers are hooked up to the correct port for audio out to the speaker input, the Audio output to the speaker is the GREEN mini RCA jack on the back of the computer.

No sound from speakers

Probably.
Do they connect to the computer via USB or mini plug?
If mini plug, make sure you have the right jack on the back of the computer (there's two)
Then go into System Preferences ... select "Sound" and see if you can select something other than "Internal Speakers" - the computer may just not be aware that you want to use the external speakers ...
Are the speakers powered? Is there a volume control on the subwoofer, or an external fob with a volume control on it? You probably know this if you used them previously with your Compaq computer ...

Good luck!

BA7500 speakers no sound on new computer

I wouldn't think you would need drivers for speakers. Are you sure it's not actually your sound drivers that are not installed?

In answer to your other question, speakers are speakers are speakers, you know? so long as they have the normal plug, you should not have a problem.

Also, here's the manual for the product in case you don't have it:

No sounds come out

Computer sound. Check if speakers are working at another computer.. If so check that speakers mini jack are connected in right socket.(a dot with 3 brackets at 2 sides.) , should be a green socket fitted in a green female socket.. Still no sound install drivers and software that comes with motherboard, usually work 99%. There?s specific files needed for functionality depending on sound software that windows doesn?t have. If still no sound go to control panel, system,, hardware, device manager, sound video game controllers and uninstall all sound drivers. Reboot and let windows pickup up onboard sound and install drivers auto. if still no sound reinstall windows, make sure you?re not selecting new or format your hard drive, Ask someone that has done it before. This solves usually all my problems. If still no sound buy a separate souncard, they are cheap and use the disk that?s supplied.

Please help

Hi,
I don't think you can do that if your system was not designed for the additional speakers and a subwoofer. Your system is not a Home Theater surround sound system.
You could add the additional speakers by splicing the speaker wires but I wouldn't recommend it and it would not work like a true surround sound system.
