SOURCE: 1 How does one remove the right cv axle. 2 Our garages does not sell dot 3 break fluid anymore. Can i use dot 4 break fluid and must the system be flushed before changing to dot4???

Systems designed for a particular type of fluid ( especially prior to the wide distribution and use of DIT 4 fluids ) should continue to be filled with that fluid
for example in a car that was delivered with DOT 3 fluid , the internal components of the system ( seals , brake hoses, and fitting for example ) were specifically designed and tested for compatibility with the chemical composition of DOT 3 fluid
Because DOT 4 fluid typically contains a different chemical composition, compatibility of system components may be an issue
-- extract from stopcheck--high performance brake systems--
another site that has an explanation of the DOT ratings for brake fluids is www.tccoa.com>brake fluid
Basically DOT 4 will replace DOT 3
it is more expensive and good practice will require the complete flushing of the system
THE ONLY BRAKE FLUID THAT CANNOT BE USED IS DOT 5 AS IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE RUBBERS AND SYSTEM
I suggest that you read the tccoa site as it has a good explanation and offers a clear understanding of the DOT system
Lastly ,if you still have doubts the shop you should be talking to is an accredited brake specialist shop , not your local mechanic that has a limited knowledge of and relies on the sales pitch of the fluid manufacturer

Keep breaking needles. have replaced from smallest to largest needles will work on sample but when quilting it breakes within 3 inches

Could be the machine is out of time. However, be sure that you are not pulling/pushing the fabric through the machine. The feed dogs should be pulling the fabric without assistance. (Is the weight of the fabric hanging over the edge of the table, pulling against the machine? The weight of the fabric should be resting on the table, and to make it easier, create a "puddle" with the fabric around the foot to reduce the amount of weight.) If the machine is having difficulty with the fabric, try using a walking foot. Also, check that the thread is not too large for the needle's eye. Could also possibly need a presser foot pressure adjustment to compensate for the thickness/weight.

Brakes go to floor

If the brake master cylinder is full with approved DOT 3 brake fluid and the vacuum line that attaches to the brake booster is in place and not leaking or disconnected at either end, check for leaking fluid on all 4 tires, if you find no fluid at the tires indicating a caliper is leaking then the problem is the master cylinder being bad.

Good day Sir, please my 2006 Ford Explorer XLT has been showing front passenger light on for the front passenger air bag off, what can i do to rectify this, another help is sometimes the brakes gives some...

First the Airbag:
If I am not mistaken the Explorer has third generation airbags in it that are controlled by a weight sensor in the passenger seat. Depending on the weight on the seat the airbag should react accordingly. For instance a small weight may be interpreted as a child sitting there and may turn the airbag off whereas a larger weight may be activate the airbag as the car thinks there is a grown passenger sitting there. Does this answer your question?

Second, "rattling" breaks:
The feeling of uneven pressure in the pedal when applying the breaks could be a number of things, if you are feeling handy you can check them yourself or send the vehicle in for service with instructions to check them.
1) The break pads are warn and need to be replaced.
2) The rotor has been warped from you or a previous driver using the vehicle when the break pads should have been replaced, or external damage of some sort though that is rarely the case.
3) The last time the breaks were replaced the breaklines were not properly "bled" and as a result air bubbles trapped in the line are causing a jumpy feeling when even pressure is applied to the breaks.
4) If I misunderstood your description of rattling for an actual *sound* of rattling the caliper holding the break assembly in place on the rotor may not have been properly bolted in when the last service was done and may be shaking a bit.
If any of these are true then your car is in immediate need of servicing.

Lastly the rear wiper,
Sorry, I have no clue :) but I guarantee it will be on the dashboard or the steering column somewhere.

Hope it helps,

No audible click from unit, tho a point of small resistance is felt when turning on, and no red dot in finderscope view.

Many of these low cost red dot finder have weak and or defective on-off switches. They break very easily. Best to discard the finder and buy a better one.

I have a hi speed front end wobble And just put a new front balanced tire and it still wobbles..

Did you line up the dot on tire with the valve stem ? if not break tire down and line up bal dot and re bal. If it is taking alot of weight try relocating tire on wheel until you find a better bal position that dont require alot of weight.
I have had new tires cause wobble , spin tire on bike and check for wobble in new tire.

Rear brakes lockup when you touch the pedal

there is a brake regulator on modern systems which controls the power between the front and the back breaks this maybe defective

when a car breaks most of the breaking force is placed on the front breaks as that is where most of the energy is heading so the car sinks down. if the same amount of breaking force is placed on the back wheels as they rise they have less friction as the weight is forward so they will lock up.
the device is designed to maintain more force to the front, if it fails the system will apply even force to all wheels.

recommend cosulting a certifed garage or local dealership about this problem.
Warning; continual driving with defctive breaks is illegal and may result in injury or loss.
