Hello, It is not recommended that safe mode be disabled. Safe Mode is an alternet way that windows can be started in order to solve problems such as drivers that are corrupted and causes Windows in its normal start up state not to start properly. You can think of it as a special diagnostic mode for repairing your computer. Good Day.

I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO REINSTALL THE OPERATING SYSTEM ON A LAPTOP WITH NO CD/DVD DRIVE.

So, you can do basic functions in safe mode? You may be in luck. Safe mode just disables your drivers for third party hardware. Remove things one at a time and reboot to see which thing is loading a driver that is failing. It's usually the last thing you check that will be the culprit. So in safe mode if you can start the device manager look at the devices listed and try and disable or remove a device at a time and check to see if it boots up. Disable only the non-essentials like a joystick or a scanner. Dont remove important ones like your keyboard. If you can fine the right one it's got a memory or chip problem.

Disable safe mode windows

You can't disable Safe Mode in windows as it is used for trouble shooting the OS in times of failure. If you need to restrict access to Safe Mode set a password lock on the accounts on the machine and disable the guest account.

Did you try restarting in safe mode F8 ?

It should then lead you to operate normally.

Unable to open windows

try booting into safe mode (hit F8 repeatedly when you reboot until a safe mode option comes up) then if you are able to log in, go to the windows run prompt, type "msconfig" go to startup, disable all, services, disable all. reboot. see if it still does the same, if it doesn't one of those services are causing blue screen. Also try reverting to previous drivers if you did any driver updates, remove any new cards/hardware you might of installed recently.

If you can't get into safe mode, at a copy of any xp disk. boot up from it. (make sure your boot devices are set that cd rom is before hdd in cmos setup) then go to the recovery console "you press 'r' when ou have various option" type 1 for the windows, enter. enter for password unless you previously set an admin password.

Then type "chkdsk /p", let it run also type fixboot, and say yes. reboot and see if this solves your problem.
