SOURCE: How To Remove JBL Model L46 Woofer

Get a metal 1" wide thin spatula and tap it in between the speaker and the cabinet. The 117 woofer has a large flat side. Work your way around the frame and gently pry it up. Good luck. Pointblank

MAckie 1604 VLZ Pro Mixer, running QSC 1850 with jbl's from main outs. I would like to hook up powered subwoofers. What is the correct pathway? kenshireman@msn.com

The best way is to use a two-way crossover between the mixer and the amplifiers. In your case, the low output from teh crossover would go to the powered subs, the highs to the QSC. Use the crossover adjustment to set the frequency crossover point to get the sound quality you require.

Crossover to Es 100 to JBL 8400P. I have Harmon kardon 460 reciver?

setting Crossover frequency is trying to find the best frequency where the sub will see below that frequency and the es100 will see above that set frequency for maximum speaker efficiency.

8400P, i believe has a adjustable crossover frequency or cut frequency from 50-150Hz.

The e100 has a rated frequency response of 32Hz to 40kHz. So, the lows going to the sub, will allow the es100 to not have to handle deep bass frequencies.

So, I would suggest starting at 100Hz. That would mean your sub will be seeing roughly 100Hz and down, and the es100 will see roughly 100Hz and up.

Listen to your favorite music, and adjust accordingly.

Internal wiring schematic for a JBL 4311 WX-A

the conductor xxx\blk is the minus or black( from speaker) the outher is positive\red pin from speaker) the woofer is bigest speaker inside is connected on the crossover at low output, tweeter at high output, if you connect wrong you can burn speakers and crossover, you can test with very low volume on amplifier.

1st connect low to woofer, it only her low freq below 500Hz like drums and bass, if connect on med out the speaker is working as handpocket old radio audio. if connect on high the speaker is like no audio out. (the woofer take about 60-75% of amp power).

2nd connect the midrange at mid output you can listen to human voice cristal clear. if connect on high output you listem like esteric female shouting.

And connect the tweeter at the empty output

Take particular attention on polarity terminals, if you exchange the polarity you have a moofle sound traped inside of speaker, and some structered box noise who may open the box panels in future.

Continous low level pulsing but no Base Response from JBL PSW1000

There is a huge discussion among audio enthusiast regarding subwoofer output and how you should connect your sub to your system. If sub preout is turned and on your amp/receiver and you are able to adjust the crossover frequency adjust your crossover frequency to highest setting, higher HZ number, so you don't double low pass filter your signal too much. If you can adjust crossover frequency on your receiver and your sub allows separate connection to by pass it's filter, use that instead.
There is a great article on Polk Audio website regarding Home Theater setup. You can use it as reference and tweak it to your taste.

No sound out of JBL LSR25P speakers attached to keyboard

problem could be in wiring, fuse, crossover or the components can be damaged. the original JBL tweeter and 5.25" speaker are no longer available so replacement options would be the only alternative.
