How do i rewire pfaff foot controller model at0070

The Pfaff foot controllers are some of the best made, but even they break. Rarely is there something to be repaired on a simple foot pedal Take it to your local repair store and ask to try it on a working machine. That way you KNOW it's not the machine. Then replace it on EBay making sure you have the right model before purchasing.

What to do when foot pedal just stopped working on old Bernina 830

There are a few problems possible. Assuming that there is not a mains (house) power problem, use the following logic to sort out the problem:
1. Do you have a light (assuming that the light bulb is good)? continue to #2.
2. With the machine unthreaded, the presser foot up, and the power cable plugs fully plugged in at the motor and foot control, depress the control to the run position.
Carefully bend and wiggle the cables at the plug locations one at a time. If the motor runs, the cable wires are damaged so you will replace the cable.
3. If available, try a (known good foot control) from another Bernina 830 of that exact vintage.
If the test foot control runs the machine, replace your foot control. Note: If the foot control is a type 213 for very old models, suggest that the control be replaced with a two wire electronic phase type control. (requires the foot control plug end to be cut off and rewired to the new phase controller). These electronic phase controls can be purchased from EBAY. Stay away from the Bernina type 213 control if possible. The type 213 controls have not been available for many years and it is highly likely that these controls are in a used condition, so you will not know if it has been properly adjusted.
If the 830 is a later model machine with the type 232 or 290 foot control and it is determined to be defective, no problem as they can be repaired.
4. If the (known good foot control) still does not work, you can assume that the motor has a problem. Motors for the Bernina 830 are occasionally available on EBAY and other sources.
Note: If the motor brushes have worn out and the commutator has been damaged, the motor is also salvageable.
-------------
Note: Always unplug the machine from the mains power when not in use as per Bernina instructions.

Where can I buy a replacement foot controller and power cord for my singer confidence 7463?

Years ago, my second Singer [760] foot control "went", out of warranty. Singer weren't very good with parts for older models, and the sewing machine guy had to find another foot control and I had to do a lot of rewiring.

Anyway, if you go Online and look for your local Singer stockist, the part number should be there.

Bernette 75 electronic foot control does not work and another one is not available in Nelspruit

the good news is it is actually not an electronic foot control and you can order a generic one on line that is a better product than the original one that comes with the machine. just make sure you use make and model to match it up, you can buy the entire assembly (make sure to match up plug into machine) or just a foot and rewire it with the existing cords by just taking off old foot and rewiring new foot on. They open on the bottom.

Wiring a foot control pedal for Singer Slant-o-Matic 401G sewing machine, banana socket. The machines listed are newer models and my 401 is not listed.

Faboulous machine the 401 and the best machine ever made, in the UK if I remember the two red wires go to the right hand pin and thw two blacks go to each terminal, when you rewire the plug which is fidly undo the stop motion, when you plug the machine in if it runs on without touching the foot control change the two black wires over, to rewire the foot control there are only two wires, you can't go wrong.

I need a new foot pedal for my kenmore sewing machine model #158.15150

If you just need the pedal without the harness, any good foot control will fit, usually YDK, very easy to rewire.

HI, my ligline auto 22 wont stop running, its like the foot pedal is permanantly down, only happened once before, I pushed and pulled at the wiring, did not rewire, and gave it the magic bang to the side,...

There is a supressor that has failed, probably in the foot control.
It usually smells like burning plastic/electronics.
Remove itor have a qualified person do it for you if you are uncertain, this is lethal voltage we are talking about, and if you do not know, why risk it for the sake of a few dollars ?

I have a kenmore sewing machine from 1979, the foot pedal needs to be replaced. I've had it repaired four times but no use. Where can I get a replacement foot pedal?

Any standard pedal will be fine from any sewing machine dealer, it does not have to be the same make, they are very easy to rewire.

Old model Bernina 830, running ok, then kept running, won't stop. disconnected cord, disconnected foot control, plugged cord into motor, motor runs without foot control. Reconnected foot control, motor...

There is a thing called a suppressor which is normally located in the foot control which has fused, you need to open the foot control and you should see a a small thing that looks liuke a fuse connected to the two terminals which you need to take out and discard because you don't need it any more, if you don't have on in the control then it will be on the motor which means you will have to take it in for repair.
