I have a troybuilt weed eater. I just put a new carbeutor on and its not running right. It has compression but will not start?

check the position of the fuel lines to the primer or if part of the carby from the tank to the carby
the way it works is that the primer bulb sucks fuel through the carby to prime it so the tank line goes to the carby and the line from the primer back to the tank
could be flooded or the metering screws have to be adjusted

How to adjust achoke on 1979 mg 94 cubic engine has antifreeze running through it

You need to calibrate the heat mass before reassembling the choke unit. This is from John Twist of University Motor. Hope it helps.

Loosen the 1/2" headed bolt that fastens the water jacket to the heat mass. Then, disconnect the two hoses from the water jacket and plug them with 7/16" bolts. Remove the bolt the rest of the way and CAREFULLY lever the water jacket away from the heat mass. Then, remove the three screws that hold the heat mass to the auto choke.

Remove the heat mass and carefully remove the black plastic insulator. Now you can work with the auto choke and calibrate the heat mass.

Copiously oil the inside of the autochoke, and exercise it -- hold the throttle wide open and move the little lever which engages the bi-metal strip of the heat mass from its 3:00 position to the 12:00 position -- about twenty times.

Place the heat mass in a pan of water and bring it to a boil. Pick the heat mass from the boiling water and inspect the alignment of the bi-metal strip -- well, really the rectangle -- and the line scribed in the circumference of the heat mass. That line is usually ill-defined or worse, completely obliterated. Cut a new line with your hacksaw wherever the rectangle is positioned.

Now reassemble the unit, taking GREAT care to match the finger of the choke with the rectangle of the bi-metal strip. Position all three lines (the boss on the auto choke body, the raised line on the black plastic insulator, and the line you just made with the hacksaw), in line.

Design jet 750 won't go into test mode

check to see if the belt that you changed was reinstalled correctly
with the proper tension because if the belt is too tight or too loose
these simptoms may be the result of poor need
just a small amount of play in that belt where you can take your index finger and softly poke the belt which should have a small
amount of play.go over what you did so that you can find where you have went astray

Stihl FS85 starts fine, But not take full throttle

Pumping the primer bubble while the engine is running should cause the engine to over fuel and stall (if the tuning is correct). Sounds like its not fueling enough, pumping the primer is forcing fuel through the carb causing the engine to pick up rev's, but this is soon exhausted which is why it wont rev on the throttle.
* Check that the fuel line is not damaged and drawing in air. (if this is intact try the next step)
* Strip and clean the carb. Replace any diaphrams if needed.
* Check gaskets seal between carb, air filter and cylinder.

Just out of curiosity what standard carb settings did you use.?

What tool u need to open oil drain plug because it seems to be square..?

a socket should work, but if not...use an adjustable wrench..make sure it is closed tight so u dont strip the corners..

if all else fails...use some locking vice grip plyers..and again..dont strip those corners..

they should also sell the proper tool at the local auto parts store.

let me know how it goes

The battery light comes on 10 seconds after starting car, the altinator is good, so what is it?

You MUST Be ABSOLUTLY POSSITIVE that the alternator is Functioning Properlt, and Also that the BATTERY has NO DEAD CELL in it, Most Auto Parts Stored will Perform these test for free A LOAD test On Battery and An OUTPUT Tets on the Alternator. This MUST Be DONE Before Going Further into Diagnostics of your Electricial

Ugly chromefenders

Paint will not adhere very well to chrome. You will need to get the chrome stripped as it is a plating finish on the steel. Any plating business should be able to strip them for you. Once stripped then use any good quality primer or powder coating

Konica 2223 J72 alarm

ST216, J72.
1. Paper is caught on the flapper assembly (p/n 12TK-4510). The indexer is not adjusted high enough to have the flapper correctly positioned. This symptom usually occurs after the last copy enters the top bin. To properly adjust the indexer position, perform the following:
a. Power copier OFF.
b. Remove the front and rear covers.
c. On the sorter CB, set dipswitches SW1-1, SW1-2 and SW1-3 to the ON position.
d. Ensure both sorter interlocks are closed (PS208 and MS201).
e. On the sorter CB, press and hold PSW1 while powering ON the main body (code 70-00 will occur; this is normal).
f. Release PSW1, then press and release it one time. The indexer will lower to the adjustment position (approximately at the 4th bin).
g. Open the conveyance section.
h. Insert the indexer positioning shaft adjustment tool (p/n 7050K0020) into the access hole on the rear side frame of the sorter. The hole is located to the right of the conveyance door interlock switch (MS201). The shaft should be positioned under the indexer and into another hole in the front side frame.
Note: The indexer positioning tool is the same tool used for optics alignment on the 7050.
i. Rotate the indexer motor encoder plate to lower the indexer until it contacts the adjustment shaft.
j. Loosen the fixed screw located on the front side of the indexer.
k. Slide the front of the indexer up or down until it is positioned parallel with the adjustment shaft. Retighten the indexer fixing screw.
l. Loosen the screw that secures the PS203 4-slot encoder plate and adjust the 4-slot encoder plate until LED 1 is lit. Retighten the encoder plate.
Note: Either or both interlock sensor/switch (PS208/MS201) must be opened during this adjustment.
m. Remove the indexer positioning shaft and reset all 3 SW1 switches to the OFF position.
n. Power copier OFF/ON to return to the normal mode.

2. The sorter top front frame is slightly bent and not parallel with the rear top frame. This, in turn, allows the top cover to be out of position and bind the flapper gate (p/n 12TK-4510). This gate should normally open when the indexer lowers to bin 2, allowing the paper to enter the bins.
Reform the sorter top frame so the top cover, when mounted, does not bind the movement of the flapper gate.

3. Mylar guides are installed on the exit unit of the main body.
Remove the mylar exit guides when a sorter is installed. The guides help eliminate static when paper exits into the catch tray. When a sorter is installed, the guides can cause exit misfeeding.

4. The flag for the sorter entrance sensor (PS201) is stuck on the guide plate below the sensor. This happens when the top of the sorter is lifted as it is moved away from the copier.
Lift the top of the sorter and place the flag back into its proper position. Instruct the operators not to lift the top of the sorter when it is moved.

a. Remove the power cord from the printer.
b. Open the front cover.
c. Gently slide the ink cartridge carrier to the middle of the printer.
d. Gently move the top part of the printer belt to the right.
e. Using an index finger, gently push encoder strip down and then back up, to get it back into the slot located on the back of the ink cartridge carrier.
f. Gently press the strip first to the rear, and then forward, to ensure that it is seated correctly.
g. Manually move the ink cartridge carrier to the left, then to the right, to check the positioning of the encoder strip.
h. Once the encoder strip has been re-seated, close the scanner lid.
i. Re-connect the power cord to the printer and try again to print.

Incorrect position of encoder strip

Correct position of Encoder strip

Hope it should fix the issue.
