I didn't close all the programs on my LG HXD7 1TB hexternal and took it out without ejecting it now it says I have to format it. What can I do to fix it without formatting it and loosing all my da

You'd better never do such improper operations again.
But, right now, in order to get back your data, you are supposed to act carefully as below:
1). Do not format this hard drive in case that anything important will lose at the same time.
2). Do not add any new file on this hard drive in case that anything new would rewrite your original data.
3). Do not randomly select a hard drive data recovery program. In your case, an efficient data recovery program always means a lot. Therefore, you can try to apply an unformatted drive data recovery freeware to get back your player data successfully:
4). Do not save the restored data on the same drive in case of data recovery failure.
5). Do not forget to format this drive after the data recovery process so that you can check whether this "not formatted error" problem could be resolved.
Note: Never try to save everything important on only one hard drive next time.

How do i put my hard drive inside? me

Open the external case, by removing some screws, and sliding the cover away from the insides.
Connect your disk-drive to the "power" and "data" connections, and secure the disk-drive with the mounting screws. Close the case.

Either the hard drive is dead, or the wires to it have come loose.

If you are comfortable opening your computer, do the following.

1) Unplug it from the wall.
2) Touch the case to ensure you don't have any static electricity on you.
3) Open the case.
4) Locate the hard drives, they will be near the front of the case.
5) Gently push on the wires coming out of the hard drives, just to make sure they're seated. This will not take too much force.
6) Close the case, plug the computer back in, and turn it on.

Want to remove my hard disc... but.. I can get to and remove the 2 screws on the "inside" of the drive.. but.. the two screws next to the case are so close to the case I can't get to them. Am I missing...

The hard drive is secured to the frame and this frame needs to be removed to get access to all the screws holding the hard drive to the frame. The frame may have screws holding it to the case or accessed from the front of the computer after you remove the front faceplate panel.

I can't figure out how to put the saw back in the case. i can't get the case to close. i tried for about a half hour and gave up!

Usually the saw has to be set at it's shallowest cut to get it back into the case and close the lid. I learned the hard way too, years ago. LOL

I can't close the back of my Timex watch after changing the battery.

Common issue! Easy to open and hard to close! Just take it to a reputable watch repair business and they can use a press to close it! Needs equal pressure around entire case back to close!
