How do i bypass pcb board on a henry numatic international"?"

You will need to remove all the wires off it and off the hi/lo rocker switch. Then disconnect to two wires on the opposite side of the on/off to the power in side. The two white motor wires then get connected to this switch. The machine will now run on high speed only when turned on.

How do i change belt

Hi there,

I am sorry to hear you are having difficulty with your DC14. If the belt has broken completely, the clutch assembly will also need to be replaced. We recommend the clutch be replaced by a Dyson authorized technician. However, if your brush bar is not spinning but the belt is still intact, we would value the opportunity to trouble shoot with you to determine a solution.

To trouble shoot your machine and for assistance with repair or part replacement, please call us at 0800 298 0298 (UK) or 1-866-693-9766 (US). We look forward to speaking with you.

Best wishes,

Jessica

It's plugged in but won't turn on?

Let's do some trouble shooting:

With it plugged in, do you see any lights on the control panel?
Miele also has a little device, that let's you 'park' the floor want in a neat little slot at the handle end of the machine-- and when it is plugged in there, the machine shuts off.

Finally there are switches on the top of the machine that control the speed of the machine-- what happens when you operate that switch-
The other switch turns it on and off-- Do you feel the switch snap when you push it?

Let us know what you find--

I nead a wirring diagram to fit a four connection power switch to a Kirby G4 cleaner

Hi,

There isn't a wiring diagram for these. There is only a switch, a motor and a light, so a schematic isn't really required.

I'm assuming you've made the fatal mistake of removing the wiring from the old switch and have forgotten where to re-connect them. It's also not very helpful that all the wires are white, so I can't really tell you to connect red to "x", black to "y", etc.

The really important connections are the power cord and the motor brush connections. You can't get the power cord wrong as the plug is shaped to only allow connection at one orientation: I've drawn you a diagram to show 3 of the 4 connections:

belectric_62.jpg
As long as the motor brushes are correct, there wont be any problem. If these are the wrong way around, the motor will run in reverse and will blow instead of s/uck.

The headlight can be wired either way around so if these connections are switched, it shouldn't matter. You have a 50/50 chance of getting it back the same way as it was originally and if there is any problem with the light, you can easily switch these wires over.

Hope this helps. Please post back if you need further assistance.

Regards,
BElectric

I need a wiring diagram for a rainbow d4c

Are you talking about the power switch. The new power switches have 4 wires sautered to the power switch, where the old ones have 6 wires that slip in and lock into the power switch.

The blue ones are for your power cord, and the black ones are for your vacuum motor, and your power nozzle plug.

Secure one motor wire and one power nozzle plug wire to one of the black wires out of the new switch, and secure the other two, to the other black one from the power switch. It does not matter which ones that you match together. Secure one of each of the power cord to the two blue wires from the power switch. It does not matter which one of them goes to each wire neither. It is AC so power goes both ways.

Use twist on wire nuts to secure the wires to each other, and put some electrical tape around each of them, after you secure them securly with the wire nuts.

It is best to secure the cluster of wires to each other with a pull tie, after you are finished wiring everything.

If you have any more questions let me know. I am a Rainbow seller, and a Rainbow expert also.

Thank you,
Ralph

Electrical to power head

Greetings from GoVacuum,

There could be a couple of reasons why you are not getting power to your power brush. The first and most popular reason is the hose of the machine. Sometimes the wires inside of the hose will go bad, causing the power not to get down to the power brush, but the rest of the vacuum working well.

You can test this hose easily. You will need to go out and purchase a continuity tester from Home Depot or Radio Shack. When the electrical test is in the continuity position, remove the hose from the canister, and put one of the testers on one of the electrical prongs that plugs into the canister itself, and put the other tester into socket where hose connects into the wand, you should have continuity on both terminals. It is important that the switch that controls the power brush is turned to the on position. If one of the terminals does not have continuity, you will need to replace the hose itself.

If both terminals have continuity, then you should then follow the same procedures on the electrical wand. If the wand tests ok as well, you may have a loose connection in the power brush.

Please let me know if none of these solutions work for you, I can then shoot a video showing you how to open the power brush to check for loose connections.

You do have a Miele S548, correct?

Please feel free to email me with any questions, I really enjoy sharing my knowledge of fixing and repairing vacuums, and would be delighted to answer any questions you might have.
