SOURCE: Magenta print head reseat.

i'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it sounds like your carriage assembly is bad. the slot that holds the magenta cartridge is defective.have the carriage assembly and trailing cables replaced. this should resolve your problem. these parts are becoming harder to find because of the age of the printer. carriage assembly part number is C6074-69388. trailing cable is C6074-60418 making the assumption this is a 36" plotter. also you can try cleaning the contacts on the carriage assembly. good luck!

How do I correct error c4152?

Magenta Print head (print head has the LASER inside of it that writes the image on the drum) in this case it is the magenta LASER. Open and close the front door to reset. If it comes back replace the print head. Normal done as a set of all four. (Black, Magenta, Yellow, and Cyan). Worse case is the relay board is bad or the Image control Board$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

ARE you sure you have checked the box on print properties on you computer that says either left binding or top binding have to let the copier know which way to do binding will go so you don't have to flip the paper over to read correctly or it will be upside down on the other side. REPLACED PRINT CARTRIDGE NOW STATES THE TYPE OF PRINT HEAD IS INCORRECT.

Canon support suggests that perhaps your print head needs to be reseated. This would be too complicated to explain, plus the documentation at Canon support has pictures to help you perform this task.

You must be willing to use the "Search" feature in order to view this solution. Type in the question:

  1. Make sure the machine is powered on.

  2. Lift the Scan Unit until it locks into place (1). The Print Head Holder moves to the center.
