The LCD is not work well
you can do follow these:
1,reconnect the LCD cable (It is connected to the motherboard and LCD screen)
2,if the vertical line is still there,it means that the LCD is bad ,you need a new LCD

VIZIO 42 CLASS RAZOR LED SMART TV M420KD picture has lots of green ghosting and thin white vertical line through left side of screen also

Hi Charlene,

please try with video input from any device, and i think you are using local antenna and it has gain problem or your tuner section of the tv is not working correctly.
if distroted pictures comes with video input signal it is video amp and processing unit problem.
you have to go for repair shop for fix that.

I have a Vertical Line down my Tv? Its a Samsung LN46B550 Sound Works I can still see some of the picture... All HDMI Inputs work... HELP

So your HDMI inputs work fine without the vertical line?

If every input displays like this, there is a high chance that the problem is in the TV panel itself.

I had something similar with a Sony TV, except the lines were horizontal and the panel was replaced for free under warranty.

Vertical lines

There are mainly two reasons for this fault. Circuit board, and panel. Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Click this link. View it in "Timeslide" or "Flipcard" option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. It will make search easy. There are more than 1300 posts to different brand TVs now. Pull up older posts there.

Vertical line off centre of monitor

Likely a crack in your cable - try a new cable if possible (or borrow one) - other than that its likely a fault in your monitor.

I have a Sony Bravia KDL-32v2500, 16 months old, a thin vertical green line has appeared just off centre. It is on all channels and all input sources. Any suggestions?

If it still under warranty, no cost will be there, but if its out of warranty, you have to pay to Sony (might be they give you some discount) because its problem in LCD Panel.
