The mechanism maybe out of alignment. Technicians and a service manual is how this gets fixed. The new belts are put in an the mechanism is position to the stop mode for the eject to work.

SOURCE: Rubber bands

Drive belts are universal. Just measure the diameter of the old belts in MM and put that and the words "Cassette Drive Belt" into Google.

Hi. If you are able to open, do so and check if you find a black rubber band that could have fallen off the tray. If you do just buy and replace. The band is is driven by some gears and helps open the tray and if it ages it gets damaged and cuts off. If the band is still intact, then see if the elasticity is still there and replace if there is no elasticity. If the band seems fine, then look at the gear near the end of the tray and try to open the tray manually. If you open the tray manually try see if there are broken or damaged gears. If non power the system and see if the tray closes. If it does then press the open button to see if it opens. If it does not, change the black rubber band that should work.

My cassette keeps on ejecting so i am not able to play my tapes
The solution from AlecBrown133 above fixed the same problem for me. The only comment that I would add is that the same repair can be done with a normal rubber band. I used one to fix the same issue with my Denon drr-m30 and it is significantly cheaper than the 10 pound option.

Hi. I had a similar problem. Remove the casing and you will see a rubber belt on the left hand side which looks like a miniature car fan belt. Even if it looks ok, the likelihood is that it is now slack and not operating properly. Its purpose appears to be to drive a white plastic cog wheel which secures the tray in position ready for the cassette to play. If the tension is insufficient to lock the tray, it automatically ejects after a couple of seconds of the whirring sound you describe. Contact Charles Hyde & Son Ltd of York who are main distributors for Denon and order part number 7790031, called a tray loading belt. The Sales number is 01759 303068 and that takes you right through to someone who will process your order; the part costs about £10 incl postage. They sent the part the day after I phoned - great service. It takes a few seconds to remove the old belt and replace it with the new one. Good luck

I had the same "Blocked" problem and solved it - by using a rubber band! Unplug the machine and take off the outer cover. Remove the DVD reader and take off the cover to the reader - you can now easily recover the DVD that was stuck in the machine. Now slide out the actual DVD tray, you will have to bend back a couple of restraining bars to get the tray out completely. You should now see a small white wheel which is actually the end of a concealed electric motor. There will also be a larger black pulley which controls the movement of the DVD tray. If there is no band connecting the pulley and the white wheel, that is your problem and I solved it with a small elastic band. Put everything back and turn on, wait for all the messages to clear and press the eject button - the tray opens simples. It has taught me never to force the tray in manually, but to always use the eject/open button.
