Question about Sony Televison & Video
Hi when I turn on my tv it keeps going off then turns back on after a few seconds. The green power light goes out and comes back on when TV comes back, there are no other flashing lights and the on/off periods are not the same length of time, the longest off time is approx 6 seconds. Is there a solution? Thanks
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

a couple of years old can be a long time:
has the TV been on 24\7
It's the amount of hours that matters..
electrolytic capacitors typically last 3000 to 5000 hours....
Special "long life" caps last close to 7000
but the caps in most consumer electronics, even broadcast equipment 3-5K hours.

Your TV needs to be repaired. The blinks are a self-diagnostic function built in to Sony TVs. Three blinks may indicate a power supply issue.
