SOURCE: my thermostats seems to be

Either your thermostat is stuck or the sensor detecting the room air is broken. If their is a digital readout telling you the room is down to 63 then I would say the thermostat is stuck but cannot be confirmed without checking with a meter

SOURCE: I have installed my Honeywell

Hello Vinny Fear not the thermostat has a built in (factory) deadband of 1 or 2 degrees on purpose to keep the unit from shortcycling. It needs to maintain a minimun run time for the equipment's sake. This is normal and can't be adjusted.

How do I set the temporary or permanent override feature on the Honeywell RTH2310B model thermostat?

To set the temporary override, press arrows up or down to desired temp. This will keep temperature
at temporary setting for 2 hours then return to programming. To permanent override press MODE button until schedule period number disappears (number inside little house on stat). Then adjust temp with arrows. Press the MODE button again to cancel override and return to programmable.

Sounds like the switch that controls the blower is faulty. It should heat up then come on at preset temp. As for the stat where is it located. It should be located 60" off the ground not in any direct sunlight and make sure it is insulated behind the stat. You could have more heat loss in those rooms too. IE poorly insulated windows air penetrating through outlets do those walls face the wind? Is the stat located next to a heat supply?

if you set the t stat in VIP mode you can operate the fan manually but you shouldnt have to do this. it sounds like the t stat is losing communicatio with the HVAC reciever board.

Hello
Try taking the batteries out for 5 min,or disconnect power for 5min.
To clear it out.
Then re input all your times days and temps,

Is t stat in a cold location near a door or window?this could also override your settings, most progrmamble stats will go into override at 58.f im guessing this is not your problem.

If it continues after you reset,i would consider a new thermostat.

Hope this helps.

you can get a manual analog dial thermostat, atan appliance store and substitute it for the current stat, some boards also have installer settings that you can reset the limits, (I would try that first) there also are some that have dip switches that can be set to override, the issue with the last two would be finding an installers set-up manual, as I said I would search for that before I tried any non factory components

With new digital thermostat furnace runs every 10 min.

which type of T-Stat is it ? most standard t-stats have it built in that the temperature range is only a half a degree, it may seem like its running alot more, but in actuality it is maintaining better home comfort as it is not running as long as the old bimetal t-stats which would have a range of anywhere from 2-5 degrees which would cause the furnace to run alot longer, use more energy, use more fuel, and you would notice a definate change in the house temperture before it would come on or shut off, your t-stat seems to be working properly, and it will save you money, remeber also to change those filters !!!
